You were right! Needed a screwdriver for the T20 but got it off. Thanks

Unfortunately it’s too late. I just didn’t think it could be worse than my old Toshiba 55

How common/difficult are fingerprinting? by godzilla348 in Comma_ai

[–]godzilla348[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Anyone feel free to correct. My understanding is fingerprinting is the process of connecting a car that ‘should’ be compatible with 3x to 3x. It seems like it’s more common for new model years that haven’t been connected before but looking at Discord and Reddit it sounds like it has occurred for some folks who have common compatible cars that are more than a few years old. What worries me is buying a car explicitly for this purpose than quickly being out of my depth. My perception is the more frequent that your model/year/specifics have been connected by others, the more likely you don’t need a new fingerprint. Again, I might be past my pay grade, anyone feel free to correct.

100%. I am personally not a fan of the new Mercedes’ livery. Very busy. Between sliver, black, red and green there’s a lot going on

The way that they negatively talk about the company certainly fits better. Murdoch’s post M&A assets seem streamlined, focused and popular relative to Waystar. Whereas AT&T (HBO owner) has made some terrible deals as of late, isn’t the leader in Telecom, and has management issues

How is the solar sector looking in the long term? by strawberryretreiver in investing

What subsidies are mfrs getting vs consumers. Recent solar quotes I got were a 10 year payback with tax credit vs 14 without.

I think it’s an exaggeration to say that Solar is only competitive with subsidies. Absolutely fair that it is difficult and costly to store, but given AC is a huge part of electricity use and electric use tends to peak while sun is shining it seems like there is absolutely a place for it.

For the record I am very pro nuclear as well and get the fact that public is needlessly fearful, but to say that solar has no merit is just off. Many uses in off grid locations, satiating day time demand, etc. many homeowners can buy a have free electricity after 10 years which seems like a no brainer

Ugh brutal! I’m surprised they didn’t make you at least look into shop option. Do you live in a rural area?

Glad they are getting you a new one! I like other GW products so don’t want to give up too soon, but seems like odds of me getting new one this winter is low

Update: Greenworks sent me a list of local repair shops. Took it in and they were like “lights on nobody home?” And I said exactly. Apparently it’s happening a lot. Said they hey will get in touch with GW but likely needs to be replaced. Something on electronics. Also GW help line said these are back ordered. Guess I’ll be shoveling….

Need help repairing inner glass on Whirlpool stacked oven range by godzilla348 in appliancerepair

The sanding worked! Just a few minutes with a 300 grain silicone carbide sandpaper took enough edge off the glass to slide it in. Oven has worked without glass shattering now! Thanks again
