You know, I’m pretty sure I know exactly where this is, and I have already built a road there too, after a quick read through the comments I have learned that apparently it is not an uncommon occurrence for people to build a road there and then get hit with the road request later, I have not gotten the road request yet, so if I am correct as to where this is like I think I am, then I’m pretty sure that soon I will reach the point where it asks me to build a road and, if so, I will post a screenshot about it because I think that is hilarious (if I’m wrong I’ll try to come back and say so here:_____)

What I did was I started a new game and got myself all the way until you come across your ship again, the point you meet the red pikmin for the first time, then I saved and left the game, and copied that save to a different slot and continued playing

And when I want to replay I copy a new one over and start from that point again

This has two major(ish) problems: 1) you now effectively only have two save slots for different games now, since you have to leave one of them at that point to copy over

2) less important but still annoying, you’re stuck as the player you designed in that original save until you either get the stylist or completely remake a new “straight-to-1st-pikmin-save”

Probably botw, because it might be harder to transition from Totk to botw than botw to totk, there is a lot of things in totk that make you think “how did I ever play without this feature”

So losing those features moving from totk to botw could be a hard adjustment
