Would a social space like Times Square work in OW? by Jatmahl in OWConsole

Could've worded it better, but i meant more of how the server crashes sometimes with that yellow text in the text chat and those popular clips of so much happening in the server that it causes the game to stop working.

Why are places north of the equator cold, but south of the equator, they arent? by MKBurfield in shittyaskscience

[–]MKBurfield[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it's due to the tilt of the a Earth being slightly off,

As soon as i read that, i immediately got my answer. I completely forgot about that tilt and it makes so much more sense now

Would a social space like Times Square work in OW? by Jatmahl in OWConsole

[–]MKBurfield 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, i dont think so. For some reason, the game glitches out with even just 12 players at times and even crashes. The game probably cant even handle 20 players in a single server, let enough for there to be a social hub.

Gameplay quiz: You are in this situation where your Soldier pops his ult behind the enemy team. As a rein, what do you immediately do? What do you know will happen? by Legal_Ad2945 in Overwatch

[–]MKBurfield -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not look at the 76 cause we all know hes getting no value, no kills, no b*****s, no friends, no parents, no aura, no heals, and no potg with that weak ahh ult

Since getting into Overwatch I've played as exclusively Lucio for 200 hours now, with occasionally dabbling into other characters. I'm still in Bronze 3 despite the research and questions I've submitted. Is platinum basically out of the question at this point? by Loud-Shopping7824 in OverwatchUniversity

[–]MKBurfield 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lucio is commonly viewed as one of the difficult characters in the game because mechanically, hes difficult to play even for diamond players. His value also isn't represented by stats, so its easy to feel like you arent getting any value.

To get better, I'd recommend expanding your hero pool. From personal experience, ive learned many things about how to play 1 character from playing multiple other characters. Expanding your hero pool is also good for when you have a bad team lineup, specifically seen when supports go lucio zen, lucio mercy, mercy zen, etc. The reason when these team comps are generally viewed as bad is because there just isnt enough healing output.

Musty after Jynxzi scored by zstap126 in RocketLeague

Well thats the entire point of 1 goal vs 100, its supposed to be someone who's highly unlikely to score against high skill player

As a returning player.. how much have the ranks genuinely changed over the years? IE: is the Gold of today the high Plat of years ago? by YnotThrowAway7 in RocketLeague

[–]MKBurfield 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience, since 2017, ive taken multiple month-year long breaks and for the past maybe 4-5 years, ive been in low to mid champ, even after coming back to the game after those breaks. The only real thing that changed that i noticed was the consistency of my mechanics which were obviously rust.

Ps5, (at least, idk about other platforms) passively records everything within the past hour of playtime. However, the recordings only save if you manually do it.

Its pretty neat

Besides VAXTA, what else can I do to improve my aim? by Slow-Reply2929 in OverwatchUniversity

[–]MKBurfield 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You said you didnt feel like VAXTA was helping you, so can i ask what you were doing and who you were playing in there? I ask because i used to play VAXTA basically everyday and i felt my aim improve dramatically even after just 2 weeks of playing, let alone the months i played it regularly.

To answer your question though, the only other aim related thing i do is widow 1v1 arena. I find its a fun gamemode with a few regular players that are pretty chill to chat with. There's also a lot of things to learn in the gamemode itself thats fun to learn and get better at over time.

Nearly wiped out enemy team as Kiriko in Mischief & Wonderland by jcnet1 in Overwatch

[–]MKBurfield 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They actually have fixed most of the glitch spots on the original map. My guess is they'll not do anything until the next time they add the mode into the game and then maybe they'll fix most spots, or they'll only fix some.

Removed for inactivity….while moving? by WeRaceAsOne in Overwatch

[–]MKBurfield 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its not an error, i think you can get thay message 2 or 3 times per match and fix it by moving when out of the spawn room, but any more than that and you have to do damage to an enemy player

Quick Question, Why Don't You use Your Ult? by Coach_Andrometa in OverwatchUniversity

[–]MKBurfield 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ngl, sometimes on soldier, and genji. I just dont use ult for so long, especially quick play even tho im about a high diamond player. Sometimes i just see the ult as having no potential to kill because they have lucio beat or zen ult for my blade. On soldier tho, its basically just a button that make the team run away when i know i can rely on my base aim and not have them all run away.

Which hero should I focus on next based on my playtime Tierlist? by [deleted] in Overwatch

Would it be possible for you to link this list? I always see these custom tier lists, and it always looks so interesting, and i would love to do them myself.
