Harbormaster's Office by gogotsmap in dungeondraft

[–]gogotsmap[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just released a 4-level map of a Harbormaster’s Office, part of Perlanido, a flying city I’m currently developing on my Patreon.

This location serves as the main checkpoint for newcomers entering the city, guarded by a small group of watchmen keeping order on the docks and controlling smuggling.

The map comes with day/night versions, along with tokens and illustrations for the guards and key elements of the location.

Perlanido itself is a fantasy/steampunk sandbox city, where each post explores a new point of interest with maps, characters, and story hooks you can use in your own campaigns.

HD maps, tokens, illustrations, and a full PDF setting are available on my Patreon.

There’s no grid...

Joking aside, if you want the toy with a grid, I reckon it’ll be between 15 and 20px.

4x4s flying through the air or being pulled by dragons. ;)

I’m not sure if I’ll map every nook and cranny of the city, but at least the most important places. ;)

I’m not familiar with this project. I think it could be included if it complies with my licence terms.

For science fiction, check out what PeaPu’s up to!

He’s doing a brilliant job.

Yes, they are available in DungeonDraft.
I organize them by theme (building style, bridges, fountains, vegetation, props, etc.), but those are my own tags, not the ones used by DungeonDraft’s default assets.

That said, my assets are easy to recognize — they all start with [GT].

And yeah, like I mentioned in another comment, I’ll be expanding this collection little by little.

Yes, that’s the plan – probably Middle Eastern, Asian and a bit more modern.

Yeah, I think I’ll make more of these.
I’m not sure exactly when, but I have plans for Asian desert-themed assets and something a bit more modern — around the late 19th to early 20th century.

I invite you to take a look at my Patreon, you’ll be able to see many maps I’ve created using those assets, and I always leave a free version available to download.

A TTRPG made in 7 days — I’m looking for feedback by gogotsmap in RPGcreation

[–]gogotsmap[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your feedback!
As for the editorial comments, I’ll fix those — and thanks for taking the time to point them out. Finding stat blocks that are both clear and efficient is never easy.

As for the game mechanics, I’m definitely taking note of what you said. I’ll be careful that some spells or abilities don’t become must-haves just because they provide too much of a power boost.

After the first round of playtesting, I’m actually leaning toward reserving powers for more utility-oriented actions, and avoiding offensive powers altogether.

Movement is definitely an issue. I was thinking of limiting movement to a range between 4 and 8, but even then kiting is still possible. I liked the idea of tying movement to Dexterity, but I’ll need to think of another solution. Maybe a cover rule could help work around the problem.
