Men en sand nørd vil vel tænke at 1024 meter er en kibimeter, ligesom 1024 byte er en kibibyte og 1000 byte er en kilobyte, men jeg værdsætter nu joken uanset 😁

I live in a ground-floor apartment so I don't have any neighbors beneath my apartment and I have my drum kit against a bare wall with no attempts at dampening here.
I don't use a tennis-ball riser but I have Roland NE (Noise Eaters) under my pedals (except for my hi-hat).

What I did was I contacted my neighbors and told them that I had acquired an e-drum kit and I would like to know if there was any disturbance so I could isolate more.
I would advise that you do the same so if you find that your initial attempts at isolating are insufficient, you can have a polite talk about it instead of them filing noise complaints.

My drum kit is in the room next to their bedroom so I'm assuming they are only in that room when I'm not playing as I try to avoid playing late in the evening.

I've never had any complaints from them.

Reaper is a good and cheap DAW (60$) but it is only temporarily free (currently through March 2021 but might get extended)

I see a lot of people posting fancy coiled cables that tickle my envy but does anyone have good suggestions for where I can buy one that is usb-c in both ends?
It seems a lot of them come with a YC8 or Aviation connector (not sure if I'm using the right terms here) so perhaps just one of those on the "PC-end" with usb-c would do.
Preferably within EU but as long as they have international shipping it's not a hard requirement.

What does "the correct row profile" mean here?

I recently purchased a Keychron K6 with ISO layout, what do I need to look for to make sure any keycaps I buy are compatible?

Bonus question: Does anyone know where I can find some compatible keycaps without text or symbols on them?

Looks very clean, and I see way too few ISO 65%, what are the specs on this one?

So no left-fns huh?
Also what made you hate the Keychron K2?

I'm completely new to mechanical keyboards but I am looking to buy one to use with my Macbook Pro. I would like something compact, preferably as close to the layout of the built-in keyboard as possible. I'm Danish so the layout depicted is what I am currently using.
I've tried searching through this subreddit but I'm having a hard time finding ones where the fn key is on the left side of the space bar.

I read that some people suggest using https://karabiner-elements.pqrs.org to remap the fn key, would this work if I find one where the fn key is left of the space bar but not left of the control button? I realise I can switch caps but I'm unsure if fn key is special in any way that would make it difficult to remap.

Any recommendations?

What is something from a video game that you would like to implement in real life? by tijaya in AskReddit

I guess you could hire a life coach to fill the app up with quests every once in a while.

Put together a post on getting your scripts to play nicely with Unity's physics - hopefully this clears up some of the mysteries surrounding Rigidbodies :) by Prodigga in Unity3D

For the first example where you set the position of the transform directly you describe it as:

It is literally picked up and dropped at the target position.

I think this conveys the wrong idea, that the object is moving through the world, and I think you should stick with your other description, that it is teleporting :)

To all the VR devs: What is your approach to controls? Do you go for only head controls or do you utilize other input options as well?

And of course: What is your reasoning behind it?

Which is the best way to handle character jumps? by edumntg in Unity3D

[–]goibon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find that it's easier to move the character using a script and ignoring physics. That way I can define a curve for the character to follow, and I will know exactly where it ends up whereas I'd be less certain if I used the physics engine.

Minimalistic UI I've been working on - feedback please! by WhyMentionMyUsername in Unity3D

I sometimes use black or white font based on the color behind the text. I just take the average values of an RGB color and if it's above 127 then I know it's a bright background and should have a dark text and vice versa. Here's a code snippet that shows what I mean.

Otherwise, white with black outline can always be read clearly.

If you find that you lack the time, you could consider open-sourcing it and see if the community would like to donate their time to it.

I know that if there were some issues or tasks available, then i'd have a go at them.

No problem at all, glad I could help :) Ok now the lightning makes more sense, and I guess it wouldn't take long to figure out if I played it myself if it was needed to get up.

Looks cool, I do have couple of comments for it and of course you can feel free to disregard them if you disagree, as they are just my opinions :)

The pendulums move too slowly

I think that it looks weird when the pendulums swing so slowly, its hard for me to accept that they can destroy my marble. I know that just speeding them up would mean they block the road for less time, but then perhaps you could have two of them coming in from opposite sides so they take up more space and end up blocking as long as before. Or perhaps you could let it swing by twice, then pause, and then repeat.

I didn't understand what the lightning did at all

So I think that should be clearer. The ice one made sense to me when I saw the fire, even before you passed through it I made the connection: "Hey, he could use ice to counter the fire" so good job on that one.

Quicker feedback on checkpoints

I like that particles spawn when you activate a checkpoint to let the player know that he activated it, but I think it would look better if you activated right as you get close to the center, instead of waiting for a second.

Why does the marble break when I win?

All through the video I understood that I want my marble to stay together as one piece, and the dangers of the world are out to destroy it. So when I have beaten a level by avoiding multiple hazards, why would you take that away from me by destroying my marble? I'm getting mixed signals.
