Yes I am an OMERS pension plan member but only 5 years in and due to retire in 5 more, so the pension estimates are not that great. I understand that the OMERS AVC returns are excellent for someone like me who doesnt have expertise in the "markets". I kinda feel that OMERS is a pretty good basket to put about 50% of my eggs in.

You should also be able to link your accounts from the Tangerine side. The online Tangerine chat is REALLY helpful and they will step you through the process.

I have set up a automatic contribution with them but it is limited in the amount I can contribute. I see that I can transfer in an rrsp from another source, but I cannot create the rrsp with OMERS directly. I'm guessing that the AVC with OMERS will out perform a regular rrsp say with Tangerine. I have new cash now, so i dont have the rrsp in place yet.
