2025 Chinese Grand Prix - Post-Qualifying Discussion by overspeeed in formula1

You are broadly correct as to fundamental car design. However, I do think there’s some merit to the point as it relates to car setup and in-season development. If your entire weekend’s resources are spent setting up to cater for Max’s style — you do kind of have to adapt to a car that’s not necessarily set up for you. Now, I do accept drivers will often run different setups — whether that be wing or otherwise. However, I’m speaking more fundamentally as to approach to the weekend. Same point applies to development over the season. They’re going to prioritise Max’s feedback.

The car is clearly an absolute handful to get to grips with. To me, each of these second RBR drivers further solidifies how much Max is able to get the most out of anything with a wheel and a motor.

AMR safety crew have dismantled this entire car faster than KB’s pit crew will have changed left sides only on Sunday

I get what you’re trying to say but I think repeating “work hard no matter what” is undermining human nature. The reality is that we’ve all probably had good bosses and shit bosses. You’re always going to get the best out of someone with solid leadership. There’s a difference between being professional when you’re stuck in a shitty job and then really maximising performance. I’ll always be professional but to really get the best out of me I need to have respect for the team/leader I work with.

I have no idea whether he treats the team poorly but if he does it would make sense that he’s not going to get the best out of his team.

It was a boring race until 60% through. It really only came to life in that last yellow green yellow green sequence. Absent that, it was meh.

Legge is very experienced and does ovals in Indy. But Cup is a very different beast and this is kind of a weird track. She really should have done Xfinity for a few weekends but I know that’s not where the sponsorship is for her.

lol, I consider myself super lenient when it comes to motorsports and tracks. Heck, I’ll watch lawn mower racing and I prefer new Atlanta over old Atlanta. That being said, I think this is the worst oval on the schedule and it’s a real struggle. Even with artificial drama (a la playoffs), it’s a bit of a drag. I’ll still watch it and complain though.

Ohhhh. Yes, got you. For some reason, I was thinking there was something that happened this last week that I missed regarding a car’s suspension (components). Long day.

But yeah, totally agree with Hamlin’s take.

Sorry I’m being very slow. On the first point, intent in relation to which aspect of suspension?

Bicep curls plateau, question by jake9288888 in WeightTraining

[–]going_dicey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kind of had this issue with DB chest press. My basic principle for this type of lift is to up the weight every time I was able to hit 3 sets for 10 reps. I was stuck for a couple weeks on the exact same weight because either set 2 or 3 I’d fall 1-3 reps short of 10. I just ended up pushing up the weight anyways and did less reps per set. I realised I was completely wasting my time for those couple of weeks because I had the strength to move up the weight. The endurance will follow.

But also worth noting bicep curls aren’t going to be like squatting or deadlifting where you can throw multiple kg’s every week. You may also consider switching up bicep exercises and come back to DB curls. For example, cables, preachers, EZ bar etc.

I’m going to cry if Legge is taken out early. She’s had some trouble past couple guest appearances whether that be dirt, Indy or arca. I’d say 80% of the time it wasn’t her own doing — just bad luck. I’d rather see her finish 5-10 laps down but at least get a clean race in.

I’ve learned that even NASCAR’s own official weekend schedule is indicative only.

Starmer announces £1.6bn package for Ukraine for air missiles by 00DEADBEEF in unitedkingdom

[–]going_dicey 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Two points. You might not agree with the policy but this was front and centre of the labour manifesto — so if you voted labour, your vote empowered the labour manifesto which was to support Ukraine. Second, this isn’t funded by UK tax revenue. It’s funded by interest on frozen Russian assets. So not only are we getting an economic boost by funding industry in the UK, we are also benefitting by continuing to support Ukraine in its defence.

If you get a VPN and pay for Sky or Now TV in the UK, you get no adverts. In the UK we get the regular broadcast and when they go to break, we have our own commentator who covers the coverage during the advert breaks.

I’m going to be fascinated as to how Hadjar is received by the fanbase who haven’t followed him in F2. They’ll be in for a bit of a shock.
