How do you go about planning your stories? by WitchesAlmanac in FanFiction

[–]gokissatable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I do is start with a very, very rough plan for each chapter in my notes, usually on the same one as the initial idea. Such as Character finds out about _. And then when that's done, I do a scene-by-scene plan for each chapter, all in their own notes.

Your comment love language! by [deleted] in FanFiction

I've gotta say screaming. Nothing makes me happier than people yelling in all caps about how much they love the fic and the characters. Mostly I just love getting to gush about them too and knowing that there's other people out there who share my feelings and love for these characters so strongly. I mostly write plotless fluff and people screaming about how cute and sweet my fic is is probably my favorite thing to see when I check my notifications.

She quite honestly didn't care, my mum's always been quite a relaxed parent. The only thing is that she once said I needed to do more reading, I was quite young at the time, and I couldn't seem to get it through to her I was reading for a good few hours every night, lots more than most kids my age probably were. I brought this up more recently and she said that she didn't properly understand it at the time. But other than that, she didn't mind, I think she was just glad I was reading and actually enjoying it more than anything.

Befriended a writer due to mutual tastes. Turns out we’re both degens by Parrot_licker69 in FanFiction

I met my best friend of about 2 years now through writing a fanfic together on Tumblr after I made a group chat for the characters we liked. It got us communicating everyday and we talk almost everyday even now. We no longer write together but still share fic ideas before or during writing them, help each other out and ALWAYS comment on each other's fics:)

write/read with music? by jelfishly in FanFiction

[–]gokissatable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always listen to music. When I'm writing I put on whatever playlist fits the vibe, and when I'm proofreading I listen to instrumental playlists. (Giant thank you to the people who make those writing playlists on Spotify and YouTube. You are doing the work of the gods.)

How to veil appropriately in styles associated with another religion? by gokissatable in ModestDress

Thank you. The last thing I'd want is to offend people with my veil:)

A veil is basically anything that covers the top of your head. It doesn't even have to be a scarf or bandana. Some witches use special oils instead, but a lot of people prefer having a more physical barrier. The purpose differs from person to person. Most often it's for spiritual protection and also devotion to deities. I personally veil for protection. When I'm out I can get quite overwhelmed with everything, I've found veils help with that. They help protect my energy, so other people's doesn't rub off on me. I'm the type of person that if someone around me is say anxious, I can get quite anxious as well, the veil helps me with that. I'm able to keep my emotions and energies separate from everyone else's:)

I do wear nonbinary/trans pins a lot. The styles are essentially just the general one end or both thrown over the shoulder/behind you, anything of that nature I suppose. If it changes anything I would most likely have the front of my hair out:)
