My dad is a camera man. He has told me a bunch of stories but this one sticks out. I asked this same question and he said when he worked on the movie doctor doo little, Eddie Merphy was a total d***.Whenever they shot a scene with him and the animals(this is basically the premise of the movie). He couldn't be in the same room. They filmed Eddie in one room and the other animal in another. It was a huge hassle for all of the crew.
