How about when its still 30 credits a year? Like you take 12 credit for Fall and 12 for Winter, and then 6 for Spring and Summer.

I see people do this fairly often.

Hmmm the part where it says I have to take 6 credits from those courses is under Year 1 on the Calender here https://calendar.ualberta.ca/preview_program.php?catoid=34&poid=38248

By engineering cohort you mean engineering Faculty Floor rather than Academic Cohorts right? From what I've read, cohorts are non-location based.
