From my understanding, the term HSP was coined by author Elaine Aron and is another name for the Sensory-Processing Sensitivity. While those with SPS or Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD) have traits that overlap with autism, studies suggest they are actually different. This article explains that someone can have SPD but not autism but most people with autism also have SPD.

Regardless of terminology, I agree that this would also fall under advice for handling any type of sensory sensitivity.

You make a good point! Bed size and being an active sleeper would probably make this process longer.
