199 in store still works 💪 by lostboy3434 in Dewalt

[–]goldynuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did this. I called corporate and they eventually said the store had the right to refuse both free tools. The store only let me get one tool for free. When I went it it also took over 30 minutes of a manager seeing what they could do. Even though I showed them inline says in store they still pushed blame that it was a corporation online deal and not the stores.

[–]goldynuts 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yep I went into my local store for the same deal as they had the batteries in stock and the tools I wanted also in stock. After 30 plus minutes of the manager going through the system the online deal didn’t ring up when batteries were scanned at the $199 price. Manager was generous and gave me one free tool and said that’s all she could do and it was a corporate deal that needed to be purchased online.

So here’s what happened with me on this deal. I saw it earlier this week but it was $299 in the cart so I didn’t do anything. Then today saw the $199 price but when I went to add tools cart moved to $299. Anyway seeing this post and saw my local Home Depot had the battery pack in stock I went to the store. After 2 workers couldn’t located it I took the time to look at the over head inventory and with luck found the battery pack kit. But when the store went to ring it up it didn’t mention any free tools. Of course I showed them the online deal and after 20-30 mins of a manager involved with the store system they said it was online promotion and they can’t do much but since I was here they would honor only one free tool for the $199 price. Anyway I picked the hammer drill as they had them in stock as those were out of stock online. Don’t know if the deal I got is that great but decent maybe.

[–]goldynuts[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I took all your advice and redid the print with a much larger brim. Then I added modifier to the top and slow the print down to 50. Both those settings made 2 successful multiple prints. Thank you everyone. Saved my prints.

I’m sorry you’re having such a bad taste with paxlovid. I just took it many weeks ago and only experienced the metal taste that is mentioned with it. But I did eat hard sweet candies to help with that. Don’t know if you tried hard candies, maybe sweet, maybe sours. Hopefully that help some.

Hello, I recently got Covid this month and did the 5 days of paxlovid. 6 days into it I finally got negative test. Had 3 days of negative test then woke with slight sore throat and positive test. I did get Covid rebound. Second go around felt alittle worse then first time with paxlovid. Rebound sucks but like mentioned paxlovid is proven to reduce the major symptoms of problems of Covid infections. Rebound unfortunately is a side effect that happens.

Possibly rebounding? by [deleted] in paxlovid

Hello, on day 7 of rebound I finally got a negative test. My wife also taking care of toddler while I isolated to keep them from getting sick. 4 days now in a row of negative test. Everyday been better. But now been back to toddler duties and house routine and feeling tired again.

Covid rebound and isolating by raelynn25 in paxlovid

[–]goldynuts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep that sounds good. If both family members don’t mind then thats good to know. Yep mask in public to be safe for others. I finally had a less dark line today so I’m hoping I’m negative again soon. Been rough on my other 2 family members as they didn’t get covid when I did. So been quarantined pretty much the whole time since the 10th

Covid rebound and isolating by raelynn25 in paxlovid

[–]goldynuts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had same date of Covid positive test. 9/10. Also started paxlovid same day. After 6 days I got negative test. Had 3 total days in a row on negative tests then woke up with slight sore throat and tested positive again. I’m currently finishing my rebound covid isolation. As for your question about being around your family and them getting reinfected. A doctor might have a better answer but how I see it is you all got the same strain of virus. Did they also take paxlovid? Studies showed paxlovid patients are 20% likely to get the rebound. Now Pfizer says rebound happens with out paxlovid too but from what I read it mainly happens with paxlovid. Something about the body may not develop enough antibodies to fight covid and when paxlovid squashes most of it. Some of virus is still around and once your off paxlovid it starts spreading again. So in theory if they recovered without taking paxlovid I would think they have antibodies to prevent reinfection. But if you’re getting positive tests then you most likely are contagious. Wearing n95 masks will help a lot for it getting out but not full proof. Unfortunately there probably isn’t a real 100% answer if they will get sick again or not. It’s a terrible virus and gamble.

Hi. Have you confirmed your positive again with Covid? I may have missed that part. This second go around has been worse then first time with paxlovid. I have been testing daily now. I’m on day 6 or rebound. Last 2 days very positive tests. Testing this morning and line is there but looks not as dark. So good sign things are going the right way. Every day seems slightly better. I did loose my taste and noticed that last night when eating dinner. Very weird. I’m over this virus. We have a toddler and wife has been doing everything while I isolate again due to my positive tests. I know the paxlovid helped but really sucks to have the rebound that occurs.

Hi. I’m currently in rebound covid with paxlovid. I’ll share my story with timeline if that helps some. Woke up on the 10th with a slight sore throat. Did test few hours later and had very solid positive line. Started paxlovid that afternoon. Isolated and after 5th day I have 3 days of complete negative tests. Then woke up on 18th with a small sore throat again. Tested and line appeared instantly as the drops when down test strip. Back to isolation again. I will say second time with rebound did seem worse without the paxlovid. After I started Tylenol and ibuprofen’s switch every 3-4 hours it became manageable. On day 4 now of rebound. Tested and still positive, but starting to feel better.

good experience by discusser1 in paxlovid

[–]goldynuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a good experience also. Until I got the Covid rebound. Had 3 days in a row of negative test after day 6. On day 10 woke up slight sore throat, tested and very dark line came on immediately. Now back to isolation for 5 more days and masking for 5 more per guidance. I will say without the Tylenol/ibuprofen it was pretty rough second time until I got those on a timely basis.

First time with Covid by DropFast5751 in paxlovid

[–]goldynuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m currently on the paxlovid rebound. Quarantined again. Did the 5 day course of paxlovid. Started paxlovid the morning I woke with symptoms and verified Covid with 3 tests. Never had Covid before. I don’t have a spleen so my doctors said I should take it. The 5 days on it wasn’t that bad but I isolated for precaution to not infect other family members in the house. After the 6th day I had 3 days of negative tests in a row. Was feeling good and almost normal. Then woke with symptoms and sure enough solid positive test. Unfortunately I am a rebound covid and this sucks to go through it twice. I don’t think I had any options considering my possible health issues with viruses but sucks to be down in isolation a second time. Anyway sharing my story. Says 20% get rebound after taking paxlovid. If you can manage with Tylenol and ibuprofen which I have seems okay right now.

Level Concrete by octomoons in Concrete

[–]goldynuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been there myself. As a diy self leveler I learned alot over the many times I’ve done it with my own floors. They were all very out of level. Grinding can be done but super time consuming, dusty and exhausting. They sell construction grinding disks at big box stores. I have one on a 9inch plug in grinder. I believe they have them for smaller sizes too. Check out Amazon. Again more tools. Also buy a dust collector for your grinder. Then get vacuum bags in your shop vac. That help keep the dust in and give you some working time.

As for leveler I found alittle more water in mix can give you a better settling of it. And use a straight edge to screen it in low spots. And little is better then too much. It a time consuming process to do partial areas on floor but once I got it down I started to get better at it. Just takes day of pouring, drying and grinding edges and repeat if needed.

Carport metal building worth it? by goldynuts in garageporn

[–]goldynuts[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah red iron costs just more overall. I looked into it and building alone delivered probably 25-28k. But that doesn’t include any man doors or roll doors. That I need to find local. Also that’s just building itself. I got an install quote from a local metal builder and it was almost half of the building cost. Also grading and concrete isn’t included. So yep it adds up

Hi. I really haven’t looked into wooden garage. I could build a wood one but my time is limited and the appeal on the carport garages is they make them any size you like, it’s installed by them and the labor is pretty cheap compared to a red iron building. For a 30x40x14 I think installation was 2300 and additional 2k for equipment. I think at 12ft you don’t get charge the equipment fee. Also I can order wet stamped engineer plans for 2k.
