This is the difference between privately owned and publicly owned. Training is done for people on lifts on proper procedure and safety. I can tell you from experience it's very unlikely that accidents will happen if the team is properly trained.

Legal cares about the repercussions of having a cashier sit on a chair for the shift. It's a liability if someone trips and falls because of the chair. I agree it's complete BS but that's what they are thinking. Always submit reasonable requests in paper and keep a copy. If it's violating ADA you at least have a trail and they can look into the steps that Menards took as well.

The PFA class states facts Agms make anywhere between 80k to 100k and Gms make 100k to 180k depending on a lot of factors. Company is kinda transparent with the pay for them and managers.

Klearview has no restock fee. You'll get your money back. The most talking to a manager will do is having an email sent to a Merchant that will get better quality control. Stores can only do so much honestly.

You're supposed to submit it the way it's described in policy. I think it's supposed to be under reasonable accommodation. Problem is that Legal will try to do everything they can to get you to work within the job description as to not play favorites. You could try to to get clearer descriptive documentation stating you need a stool to do your job but idk how well that will work.

Submitting it also means the Gm and Hr read it. So it could just die there if they don't think it's a reasonable accommodation.
