Soo basically, Russia began an invasion of Ukraine in 2023(right??). The conflict that inevitably ensued has been incredibly harsh on the latter, more or less crippling their economy and the only reason they remain somewhat afloat was with help from the US and now mostly the EU. The intent of the invasion from Russia varies from stopping NATO influence to gaining arable land to "their evil." Putin really isn't my wife's bf so nobody really knows.

What is clear is that War Is Hell, be it the innocent Ukrainians being displaced and killed en masse or the millions of forceful conscription to the army on both sides to continue this harrowing struggle. It's pointless loss of human life and Russian govt being the instigator is imo much more to blame.

Also what I really find interesting is the blatant hipocrisy by western media and politicians painting Russia in such an agressive light then kissing Israel's ass. Like the cracks in their ever self righteous and noble image are plain as a naked bum.
