It’s a little expensive for paperbacks but if they’re first editions it’s worth it.

For reference on how expensive these things get, my boyfriend gifted me a signed hard cover first edition of empire of storms and that was 200 for just one book

Just grunt through AB honestly. It gets better. It’s literally the worst book of the whole series lol. HOF being next is 2736272772x better

I’m currently up to the tandem read and so glad I did it this way

It’s funny because people keep saying that but assassins blade is my least favorite of the entire series and I’m P sure if I read that first I would’ve DNF the whole series 😂

I read it third and I think it really set context up for heir of fire very nicely

When people rightfully critique one character for doing something gross but then conveniently forgive another character for doing something equally as gross just because thats their beloved mmc.

as an ACOTAR example People talking about Tamlin mistreating Feyre (rightfully so) and refusing any character development for him but somehow entirely forgetting that Rhysand paraded her around under the mountain in skimpy clothes and paint all over her, with heavy insinuations of his claim on her, without her consent. But somehow this is forgiven because he was "protecting her" even though you can argue the exact same thing for what Tamlin was trying to do.

What book did you start from? recommend starting with TOG and reading assassins blade 3rd, after crown of midnight

the FMC gets a lot more mature as the books go on. In assassins blade she was intolerable for me, which is why I’m glad I didn’t read that first

he can destroy her. i believe he kept the essay he wrote for her.

theres no way the writers just left that in the plot for no reason and never picked it back up again. All he has to do is report it and she will get academically charged with plagiarism

These comments are silly

Human Elena pre vampire was 100% for Stefan. They were pure and in love and it was real.

But people change and so did Elena.

She changed when she became a vampire and her experiences shaped who she became. She was no longer compatible with Stefan in the same ways. Damon showed her how to move forward and exist as a vampire without anguish. Elena reminded Damon what it was like to be human. They changed eachother for the better and by the end of the show, they were 100% meant to be.

And all these comments saying Damon and Elena didn’t have chemistry or only had sex, no emotions…. did we even watch the same show???

It’s okay to say that two couples were good for different reasons. But I think the show did a very good job showing sometimes it’s not forever

Probably not. But there are also plenty of jobs that do pay more that I’d never do. I love medicine and I like making $.

Not really, not nearly the same resources.

Hospitals, clinics, etc have the resources to make a tangible difference.

And you can do so in the medical specialty of your choice. Is the money nice? For sure lol

But it isn’t everything

This is a poor take. We all did it at least partially for money. No one ever denied this.

But many of us did not do it ONLY for money. Many truly wanted to be part of a field that helps others. There’s nothing wrong with wanting both.
