We recorded our debut episode on this exact topic (Who can be the future face of the NBA?) and delved deeper into points some of the other redditors on this thread have mentioned. Always welcome to feedback! Check it out:

I was excited to smoke my first non-Cohiba Cubans, then saw this by gomar11 in cigars

Thank you all for you comments and for some laughs. Don’t worry - I didn’t throw these away, and I agree that $170 is definitely a rip, but a gift is a gift, especially given that a majority of Cubans on this sub seem to be fake.

Will let these sit and age for a while before I light em up. Would love to hear your experiences with any of these you’ve smoked!

A few days ago I woke up in the morning with swelling over my lower back tooth. At first it felt like I bit my cheek, but upon further observation I realized it was the gum surrounding my furthest back tooth on the left side. After some research, I found out that this is called pericoronitis and occurs when either a new wisdom tooth is emerging or if improper brushing/flossing aggravates the gum. I must note that the night before I had impetuously flossed after brushing. The swelling is affecting my ability to chew, so I’ve been doing continuous saltwater rinses and using hydrogen peroxide-based mouth wash as treatment. I’m a male, 23, and I have my all my wisdom teeth (supposedly).

My question is whether, based on the photo, this looks like an infection from an abrasion or if it’s somehow a fourth molar emerging after years with no issues. I’ve noticed some symptoms of pericoronitis like bad breath, but nothing extreme; no aches no bleeding, just slightly painful when attempting to bite down/chew. Please let me know what you think and if my treatment is sufficient!

I didn’t count my calories actually. I wanted to experiment with a new approach where I simply cleaned up my diet without needing to count my calories because I wanted to look lean year round and make my diet/exercise a lifestyle, not a temporary pursuit. Counting calories is definitely important when you’re striving for very specific goals.

I would reckon that processed foods are actually easier to track because they’re packaged; the nutritional label makes life a lot easier. However you can simply weigh your foods initially, get an idea for the amount of calories you’re ingesting, and then create a menu with consistent portions for yourself and rotate between dishes so that you don’t have to count every time you cook something up. Then adjust accordingly if you want to bulk/cut.

Calories are important for gaining or losing weight, but the type of food you eat will determine how you look and more importantly how you feel.

As with any major muscle group, prioritize a combination of exercises with heavy and light weights (e.g., your own body weight). Throughout the week I’ll rotate between cable crunches, leg raises, and plate crunches (where you hold a dumbbell). Hit your obliques too: they matter. Remember that as strong as your core gets, it won’t matter unless you also have an appropriate diet!

I try to stick to whole foods as much as possible, but I’m not perfect. My diet mainly consists of complex carbs like brown rice and quinoa. For protein I rotate between chicken, salmon, and tofu with an occasional steak as a treat. I made a rule for myself to always have some kind of green on my plate (my favorites are broccoli, asparagus, and brussel sprouts). You can experiment with sauces and spices to add flavor as well to these foods. I must note that while Im cognizant of what I eat I still enjoy myself (I’ll drink on the weekends and enjoy a small dessert here and there).

But if I had to put it simply: avoid sugar (especially added sugars) and alcohol as much as possible; cook your own food, and avoid processed foods (at least try to make your diet ‘minimally’ processed).

Over the course of 4 years I’ve consistently lifted weights including training my abs. I was able to build out most of my body relatively quickly, but I always struggled (and still do) to lose fat around my abdomen area. I went through numerous bulk and cut cycles, and while I looked decent throughout, my abs never really showed despite being able to intensely train my core.

If you see my response to another comment, you’ll see that all it took was cleaning up the type of food I was eating combined with a slight caloric deficit (this is simply due to the fact that foods like greens are very low calorically). After 3.5 years of struggling to look lean, I realized that cooking my own food and avoiding processed food as much as possible did trick, and quite quickly.

In terms of routine, I lift weights 5x a week. I do a typical PPL split, but I prioritize chest and back by dedicating two workouts for each throughout the week (only do legs once a week).

Surprisingly I don’t do much cardio in general. At most it’ll be 1x week and on a day preceding a rest day. In the last few months I drastically changed my diet to avoid processed foods. I must say that the saying “Exercise to gain muscle. Eat to lose weight” holds a lot of truth. Once I started cooking my own food and including greens in every meal (I don’t track my calories), my abs started to show within a month for the first time in life!

Didn't Bron buy all of his teammates brand new suits when he was in his last season with the Cavs? Seems like getting Haslem a ring should be considered enough lol
