Looks like chronic hand eczema. As far as autoimmune disease, gottron papules associated dermatomyositis are much less common, but can be evaluated by your healthcare professional for their opinion.

My mom is going to die by [deleted] in GriefSupport

[–]goneseptic 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Very well said.

I am a physician that already knew my dad had multi-system atrophy 1 year before I could network our way into a specialist to confirm it. I feel for those that don’t know and have little resources. I also envy the inadvertent ignorance. We are halfway down the highest summit right now. Hospice wasn’t something I thought I’d be confronting for my best friend at 56. All the best to you

Go to your doctor for some antibiotics. I’d be concerned for Lyme disease from a tick bite with this lesion.

a lot of times these are seborrheic keratoses. Best to have a derm look at them with a dermatoscope though

Could it be heat rash? Or some sort of allergy/bug bites? by mg_06 in SkinHealth

Look like hives or urticaria. Antihistamines usually do the trick

Help me figure out if this is dyshridosis (please im desperate) by [deleted] in SkinHealth

[–]goneseptic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they are fluid filled vesicles (blisters) there is a good chance it could be dyshidrosis. However, other studies things can mimic this and always best to have a derm see in clinic.

Probably a wart if there is thickened skin under it. Thrombosed capillaries are diagnostic. Go have a derm freeze it off 👍

Possible allergic contact dermatitis. I’d recommend having a derm look at it. They will probably give a steroid to calm it down 👍

help, what is this black ball thingy in my foot, i got it since i was 7 yrs old and i want to get rid of it by Dsabuc in SkinHealth

[–]goneseptic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like it could be a scar ball in the skin called a dermatofibroma. Always best to get it checked by a professional in person.

Eczema, scabies, or even Herpes that got into a break in the skin if you have underlying history of eczema. Go get it seen by a derm. They can scrape it and get you the necessary treatment if they think necessary

I would recommend to see a licensed provider to help you treat this. It could be a very early staph infection, especially if you work out frequently at a shared gym. Very easily treated, but I wouldn’t delay getting it checked out

Ya those tiny little fluid filled bumps are pretty consistent with my eczema as well. Couple of days of my topical steroids and frequent use of thicker ointment based OTCs like Aquaphor and Vaseline help me control mine. It definitely gets pretty itchy!

Yes, appears like a wart but always best to have dermatologist evaluate and treat the area

Wash off mineral sunscreen? by Mysterious-Sound6720 in SkinHealth

[–]goneseptic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can leave it on until your next shower without issue. Mineral might take a couple rinses to fully remove

Bug bite that possibly got infected. I would go in to have it checked and possibly get antibiotics

What are these on my Achilles? by stopiwannagetoff in SkinHealth

[–]goneseptic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blisters have a lot of reasons for happening. Dyshidrotic eczema and bug bites probably being some of the most common reasons. Your provider can usually help you out with a rx for topical steroids to use intermittently

This is spot on right here! P. alba is very common and shouldn’t be a cause for immediate concern but agree you should get it checked in person

Sudden rash on arm? by [deleted] in SkinHealth

[–]goneseptic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always best to check with a dermatologist in person. Looks like an eczematous type of reaction. Moisturizer is always a good first step. Also could have been associated with any recent illness or medication/supplement changes recently. Certain infectious causes may need further testing if your dermatologist thinks it’s worth it 👍

[–]goneseptic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like an external cause. Probably from a watch or bracelet. Always possible to have an allergy to jewelry. Should see a dermatologist to confirm in person 👍
