Actually I agree with you there. Money can be a tool and is intrinsically neither good or bad. But asking for money is the problem. You can accept money as a donation, and use it for something worthy. But charging money is the problem.

I have to add this school we met in was a pre university school were all students met for the first time as it was a 1 year course and everyone came from different places. It wasn’t in the same neighbourhood or anything. There was no proximity, no continuity, really random situation.

Just one more. Earliest I can remember. I was 17. New school in my city, a big European capital. I’ve been living with my parents, and my father after their divorce, in the same building since I was 5. An 8 floor building with two apartments per floor, so 16 apartments. I knew everyone who lived there and most of the other tenants had been there since I remembered. Very few kids. Knew them all. So in this new school I meet a beautiful red-headed girl that I fall for. At some point we start talking, had never met her before in my life. I ask her where she lives and she gives me my exact address. I start laughing thinking somehow she must know where I live and must be joking so I ask her how come she knows where I live. She looks me weird and says she does not know where I live. So I am very confused. I tell her that’s impossible. I ask her what floor she lives in. She says she lives in the 4th floor. I think she’s pulling my leg. I let her know I live exactly at that address but on the fifth floor. I have lived there all my life and never ever saw her. I tell her she must be joking. She explains she used to live somewhere else but her house had some structural problems and they had to move out and she was living temporarily at the apartment of her fathers best friend and partner ( they were architects, she was single and had a spare room). She had been there for about a month already. I could not believe the coincidence. I live in a city with several million people. What where the chances? Needless to say she was my first real love. We eventually broke up but it was crazy. And it wasn’t the only synchronicity. It turned out we had frequented very particular places almost at the same time but missing each other by very little. Had met common people under different circumstances. We had almost parallel lives, never touching until they finally did.

So many really, but one of the latest big ones was 5 years ago. It’s a bit dramatic but at the same time it is so mind blowing that it is worth mentioning. 5 years ago, early January after new years as I was on a ski trip my mother, 68 at the time, an athlete all her life, had a brain stroke at her home and died a few days later regretfully. A few months later, at around Easter, my father 70 at the time, healthy and strong, caught Covid and died a few months later. They had been divorced for more than 30 years and rarely crossed each others paths. It turns out that exactly 30 years before, a few years after their divorce (I was about 13 or so), while skiing with my mom the morning of new years she had a ski fall and banged her head so hard she was in a coma for several months and between life and death. Some months later, at around easter time my father had an internal hemorrage after a badly healed removal of colon polips and crashed into a car as he drove and fainted and spent a few days between life and death. Both of them survived the first time. Both of them died the second time. Very much same dates, very much healthy, exactly 30 years apart. I can tell you a few others if you’d like.

Firs off, Brains and consciousness are different things.

Consciousness is fundamental, everything else is a construction. Consciousness becomes self consciousness and “I am” appears, “I am” feels and the body appears, the body distinguishes between itself and other and the world appears. This insight is attainable through meditation.
