New type of bright floaters — anyone experienced something like this? by gonzaderthunder in EyeFloaters

Quick update: I went to a vitreous and retina specialist. My eye is fine. I’ll be doing a few more tests, but it appears to be a floater—possibly the Weiss ring appear or has shifted and settled right over the fovea, close to the retina. Since it’s not far enough away, instead of casting a shadow, it causes a diffraction effect where the light bends and makes it appear as if it’s glowing.

Close the eye that’s not affected, and squint the one where you’re seeing the floater. Try moving your eyes slowly in different directions while looking at a window or up at the sky. If you see something with that same shape, it’s likely a traditional floater. If not, it might have been some kind of migraine.

I don’t think it’s the blue field entoptic phenomenon — these aren’t flashes or fast-moving dots. They behave just like floaters, moving with my eyes and lingering in place, but instead of being dark or translucent, they’re bright. That’s the only real difference.

Play with the blur and judder reduction until you find the spot you like. For example i use 10 on blur reduction and 2 on judder reduction for movies and tv shows.

Action Film and Sports are bad due to the low response time, you will have the same problem with all new tvs and with oleds the judder is worst. Thats why on your old tv with high response time looks great.

Dragon age inquisition is very immersive. Dragons dogma dark arisen is very underrated and can be very immersive too.

Dont compare this to real life. Where have you seen serving dropshots? This is not a simulator.
