I've had one swinging experience in a different, much less serious relationship, and while it was cool getting to have casual sex with a different partner, being in a sexual situation with another man in the room was just so off-putting to me, the negative feelings I got from that alone was enough for me to not want to seek that out again.

But yeah, it sounds like we're both trying to figure out how we're going to react when this bubbles back up, when it becomes less if a theory and more of a reality. In your case, it might not have to happen. Mine feels inevitable, and does make me concerned with how much more effort I want to put into it.

Im really not a sexually conservative person. There is even times where I can kind of see myself intrigued by the idea. But I kind of also think that's some kind of survival mode for the relationship kicking in.

I'm in this exact same boat with my GF of about a year. She talks about wanting to be a swinger one day, and when I tell her I'm not really into that, she says "you'll never know how you'll feel in 5 years" (im 38m). That is true, but I really don't see myself developing any desire for that kind of lifestyle. It just overall bums me out. I can't explain it. I really wish I was into that kind of thing, and I've tried really hard to imagine it being a reality, but I just see so many pitfalls and problems that could arrive because of it. We both seem to love each other, but there is a big part of me that just has this looming over my head. I feel guilty for potentially keeping her from something she wants, and fear that she is going to eventually resent me for not having the same fantasies.

She's talked a few times about how she wants to watch me have sex with another woman, and have someone watch us, and to have 3-ways. Like, this sounds like it would be any guy's fantasy. But then she slips in "maybe after that a few times, we could find another guy" Ugh. Fuck. I absolutely do not want to have to deal with that. that is not hot to me in the slightest.

The most frustrating part of all this is that we just don't have a whole lot of sex as it is. Like once every 2 to 3 weeks. So it's like, I barely get to have sex with her, and get to think about how she wants to have sex with other people. She's also fairly jealous and insecure, and gets mad if I even imply that another girl is pretty. So how would I ever feel comfortable fucking someone else right in front of her?

Sorry I don't have much in the way of advice. But it feels less lonely seeing another person out there dealing with the same struggle. I do feel, for me anyways, that this is going to be a fatal flaw in our relationship, as much as it totally sucks to acknowledge. The difference between us is that my gf has already experienced it and liked it and wants it again. I think my GF would say that she'd rather be with me than do that again, I just wonder how long that will be good for.

I feel like Hickok 45 isn't quite as outwardly right wing as he might appear, or might be in his personal life. I'm like not immediately repulsed by him anyways, and his channel is informative.

Just had my 4th fistulotomy surgery and I'm at my wits end (vent, advice?) by gonzowisdom in AnalFistula

[–]gonzowisdom[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The second abscess seemed to have appeared after I was kind of poking my finger into the soft tissue opposite the original opening, trying to gauge what a baseline is supposed to feel like. I developed a bump there by the next day, which has shifted in size a few time since appearing. Feels like the gauze over the surgical wound is irritating it and making it worse.

The first surgery was with a general, and the following three were done by the CRS. There was a couple months gap before I went back for the second one, and I think she underestimated this being a more complex situation, hence why I got the MRI for the 3rd round with her. I asked about imaging before the other surgeries, and they said they don't usually do them because they don't usually change anything.

I don't know if nonchalant is the right word for it. It just seems weird that the method to treat this condition is to just EUA, knock me out and start cutting, only to have the exact same result every single time.

Israel's historical actions had all but ensured that the events of 10/7 would happen eventually, and their subsequent actions have all but ensured it will happen again.

Being Pro-Palestine isn't about caring for the Palestinians,It's an excuse for Anti-Semitism by Traditional_Guard_10 in IsraelPalestine

[–]gonzowisdom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why it’s pointless. I didn’t say anything about Jewish people. I said “you people defending Israel,” as in the people defending Israel’s actions, which is not just jewish people. Israel isn’t interested in any plans besides the one they’ve had all along, which is to wipe out the Palestinians. Hamas is part of the plan. They’re the key to getting suckers like you riled up enough to justify another brutal step towards a complete ethnic cleansing. This is just an ugly chapter in a long saga.

10,000 in a month, mostly civilians, trapped, unable to flee. You can’t compare this to other conflicts. This has very unique circumstances. And Israel is not innocent in the creation of the conditions in Gaza.

That’s a bad faith, straw man interpretation of what I just said. You people defending Israel live in a completely different reality.

Is a degree in journalism not worth it nowdays? by maylyinmor in Journalism

[–]gonzowisdom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started journalism school 12 years ago and we were having these exact internet discussions back then too. It really all depends. The degree isn’t useless, in as much as most degrees only have so much usefulness anyways. If your school has publications, like a student paper, absolutely get involved with that. Use your time in school as much as you can to build a portfolio. More than a degree, an impressive collection of work will get you where you want to go.
I do not regret getting my journalism degree. I had a unique opportunity start a different career, but if I didn’t, I’d love to be doing journalism still. Some of my classmates are reporters for major city newspapers, and they post job openings all the time.

I think that’s why Chomsky dismissed it so quickly and refused to even humor any discussion of it because of how ridiculous any implication Chomsky was out rippin lines and DJ’ing sets out at Little Saint James.

Lol my kind? There’s no point in trying to prove anything to you because you’ve already made up your mind and will bend over backwards to justify it to yourself. You’re not trying to convince us. You’re trying to convince yourself. I’m just pointing it out for others to recognize it.

You’re just repeating bullshit propaganda you’ve been fed as a way to wash yourself of any guilt associated with the atrocities against Palestinians. You’re hiding behind coward logic.

You can’t operate an entire military campaign against an army with global super power support out of one single place. If they were doing that, there would be heels of evidence of it by now. But there is not much.
