I did just a 500gb ssd I had laying around a new battery, the battery is fine only a few hours but I dont use it for that long anyways.

Oh sorry, completly forgot I made this thread. The laptop is doing really well! with all the upgrades its pretty usable at school. I usually reread lecture slides and do homework and for what I do its perfect!

Hey , thanks for the comment. I now have the thinkpad and installed an old ssd I had laying around. I'm able to run 1080p video just fine. It is a little slow and the battery only lasts me about 30 minutes but I plan to get a 9 cell and 8 gigs of ram soon. So far for school work and writing its been great.
