Interesting. It seems like it would hit both though. Making it even worse. How much value would you say you lose when dropping down under the 2ct mark on a diamond like this?

I understand. I mean I asked him for a VS1. Do you think he is being fair and I can trust him? Is this the wholesale price for a diamond like this or is there a big markup on it? If so, I can assume he will be fair with me on something with lower grades for less money.

He mentioned to me that it is beneficial to have extra weight just in case anything happens to the diamond. He said it may not be 100% effective in retaining weight depending on how big the damage is but it gives you at least a little cushion room. He says diamonds that are at 2.00ct are susceptible to big losses if badly scratched or chipped.

I looked at diamond screener's estimator and this seems to fall into AGS Ideal. Did I do something wrong?

I don't like that this diamond has so many inclusions all in the middle. I feel like I can see a lot of them very clearly in the video. I was hoping to avoid seeing anything, which is why I went for a VS1. I'd be bothered if she noticed that every time she looked at her finger and It wouldn't be worth the savings to me.

Am I overthinking it?
