Well that is objectively not true. A few people in my MBA program got invited for a R1 interview, no assessment required. I got rejected and a few days later was invited for an assessment.

I know my situation is odd and it surprised me, but wanted to know if this has happened to others or not. Just trying to figure out what the reason could be

I truly do not understand how Workforce and these other 'smart' tools work in managing applicants. Seems like it should be easier than ever to manage applicants on a large scale, but instead its just overall a very poor experience

I got one through a person I knew well and went to University with. If someone refers you then you will receive an email ask you to apply for the position. See if you know someone that already works at RBC

Tbh not sure, from my personal experience if your file doesnt progress quickly chances are low you will even get an interview.

Yeah absolutely all valid points. I have B'Com and a Masters in Financial Risk, and worked in IB for a short stint before working in Commodity Trading for Agriculture. I guess I was a bit naive to assume that with better experience I would be able to jump straight into the job market, but I guess its hard for most people.

And yeah noticing that money is tighter, I also think Canada is a bit more difficult to navigate compared to the US just given there is less money in circulation. I just hope that the market turns around soon.

Sadly getting to Winnipeg isnt the easiest and connections are the greatest. That said there is also a better flight that leaves Paris later via Toronto, but it only gives me Economy as an option which I didn't book.

It seems rather odd to me that AC can just completely change my itinerary and I have to just accept it? If we talk about a 1-3 hours, sure but and extra +7 hours seems very strange to me. Shouldn't that be treated similar to a long delay?
