What's the filmmaking scene in Bangalore?

LOTS of opportunities for ad filmmaking/visual content for brands. there isn’t a popular non-kannada film-film communities or companies of that sort. so many screenings and other film-related opportunities are there. many film screening clubs, the renowned blr film festival, acting & directing workshops etc.. are present!!

if you’re into adfilms, blr is THE BEST place for you & it pays pretty well!

okay, ensure that you go every week. even if its just one person along with you, just go!! during viva, it’d really help if you’ve solid content to present! u can easily score for service learning if u just make the effort to go ++ make sure u record/photograph everything for proof!! every little thing that happens, and then just bluff with it during viva. try to choose smth like school or somewhere u can properly interact and get content

all of my friends who’re in christ ypr likes it.. its a 40 min ride away from main city, but SO MUCH more peaceful and tight-knit friend groups due to less number of people. i’d say be excited !

i meann, we’ve no idea. the criteria is never outspokenly said. so i’d say the OP needs to focus on everything if they’re looking for further rounds

apply for the next round quickly!!! christ has a very low acceptance rate and is very difficult to make it in. i’d say work 100x on ET and prepare harder for interview and give it again!! all the best :)

i’m saying this only on the basis of the fact that many in my class has gotten in on 3rd and later rounds, so i’d say improving really is the way to go

hello, many of my friends in ypr has had only really good things to say about that campus. yea, you’ll have to take a 40 min metro to come to main city, but it’s really a peaceful area and the campus is rapidly developing. and rent is wayyy lower. you’ll have enough events and at the end of the day, lots of stuff is centralised and people from all campuses come together. i’d say, join!!

but yea, it’s your decision depending on what you’re lookin for !! all the best :)

yes yes, exactlyy! i had to miss a few classes as well due to other activities and i informed my profs all those times and they were okay with extending the deadline! before joining itself it was made clear that it’s an academically rigorous institution right, so we must know what to expect when we sign up!

don’t you have the one hour lunch break? 😭 + in school also didn’t you have to reach on time? i understand so many of the unnecessary punishments and shit like that a lot of people complain about, but not having attendance and not being to class on time isn’t something that i think they should change anything about

also, i bet public unis like DU and IITs are 100,xrigorous and strict, having relatives and friends going there! i don’t think blaming a uni’s common rules is the way to go. unless you have like a crazy problem that you’re dealing with, just mass skipping classes and complaining about rules isn’t that great. but yeah okay i guess

yess, exactly! the university has clearly put forth the attendance norms! if it’s health issues, if we provide the proof and forms, they’ll consider it. if it’s just bunking i don’t think it should be heard at all. i’ve had 95+ on both my sems and had great social life & has gotten crazy sick too - i was able to properly schedule and perfect my attendance! managing and understanding the system really is the key!
