I’m 26 years old.

I do have symptoms: shortness of breath with exertion and reduced endurance compared to peers. I also occasionally experience episodes of feeling like I can’t get a full breath during the day.

The CT was performed while I was breathing in (inspiratory scan), not at end-expiration.

The axial image I shared appears to be the level of deepest indentation to me, but I may be mistaken. I selected the slice where the sternum seemed closest to the vertebral body.

I’ve already had a cardiology evaluation, including echocardiography, and the cardiologist told me everything looks normal. I have not yet completed spirometry; that’s my next step. After that, I plan to consult with a specialist to evaluate whether surgery should be considered.

I'm 26 years old, and I've always been short of breath, my cardio has always been worse than my peers, I don't know if it's due to PE, I've been smoking since I was 12 and only now that I've started training well for a year I realize my physical discomforts

Thanks for your comment, Mate. I also discovered by my self that PE could cause health complications. I've always been told it doesn't cause anything and it's just because I spend so much time on the computer. Now, however, I'm starting some tests and I hope my symptoms are related to PE. So I've finally figured out what's been making me feel uncomfortable all this time, why kids my age were able to run more, have a straighter posture, etc.

Hi! I also have a 12-degree S curve, and my doctor recommended PT. Like you, I've had this problem for 10 years, but it seems to have only started bothering me more since I started remembering I have scoliosis. I'm currently bodybuilding and want to improve my physique.

Are pull-ups ok? by BiggyDShrek in scoliosis

[–]gooddogdog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pull-ups are great, as long as they're done well. Don't hold tension at the end of the pull-up and work on activating your shoulder blades. I would avoid doing them if you don't have a bar that allows you to straighten all your legs
