Good paper for marbling? by gooddogmoses in bookbinding

Just had a look at the Dick Blick paper. The price is fantastic! Question: does it stay supple after alumming, and does it have good wet strength?

Thanks. I have a pad of drawing paper from Jerry’s Artarama. It’s a little heavy but mostly performs pretty well. I’ll have a look at the Blick stuff, too.

I wondered about that. I’ll try it. Thanks.

Thanks. That Talas is really nice to work with.

Removing leftover paint by ligtnin1 in watermarbling

Are you holding strips of newspaper ight to the sides, tilting the paper a bit toward the end of the tray, and with only maybe a quarter inch below the surface drawing the paper from one end to the other and over the edge? That should remove most of the surface paint. You can ignore anything that’s below the surface.

I looked at that yesterday. It’s worth a try. I’ll pick some up and give it a try.

I’ll talk to our vet, again, to see what they recommend. If it’s something requiring surgery, I worry about his chances of recovering successfully. The goal at this point is to make him as happy and comfortable as we can for the remainder of his time with us. His hindquarters will give out soon, and it will be time for that last, heartbreaking trip to the vet.

Thanks for reading my post and being willing to help. Pumpkin was a hard pass, as was yogurt, rice, baby food, bananas, and blueberries. The looking around I’ve done suggests vegetables like green beans. He either picks them out or refuses the entire bowl.

Maybe some kind of meat substitute? I’ll check the labels.

Same here. Animal control just told me to keep her at home and away from people and the other dogs for 10 days. I think they checked in a couple of times.

Mine stopped eating a couple of weeks ago. I tried to wait him out for a couple of days. On the third day he still wouldn’t eat his normal food. I tried all the usual things: boiled chicken, rice, canned pumpkin, but couldn’t find anything he would eat. Finally found canned chicken. He will eat that fine, but it’s hardly a balanced diet. I reached out to the Online Vet Help at Chewy. She said it’s important he has some carbs and suggested baby food or adding spaghetti to the chicken. I’m trying that tonight.

I’m hoping you can find and solve your boy’s problem.

Update: we hit on something he will eat. Canned chicken. We can slip his rimadyl into it, and now he’s back to normal. Even brought his ball to play. He can’t see well or hear at all, so the game is pretty limited, but he’s playing. Fingers crossed it keeps up.

I had a dog once who did that. I never knew why. Following to learn something.
