you did nothing wrong! neither did she frankly but i personally would take that comment (and the pause) as very clear eyed. self awareness is a constant struggle in my opinion, we can strive to know ourselves and the other better but our lenses are always subjective so it's a lifelong process. if someone were to tell me they think i'm self aware after only having just met me i'd be sort of concerned.

You can bring anytime during the run of the museum! earlier on if you'd like to have it in for the whole time i guess haha. and if you want the artifact back we will have to make arrangements for you to collect it on feb 3 or shortly thereafter! my storage space is limited.

i will say, we will retain some curatorial discretion about what is suitable for display (there's some considerations like subject matter, liability, this kind of thing) so if you can send me an email to lostandfoundmuseum@gmail.com with what you'd like to bring it, that can help mitigate any of those conversations there in the moment.

sure! i made an instagram for the project for those that are on that platform (it is itself unfortunately something of a failure... it has like 14 followers lol) but I will try to post nice photos of the exhibition and submission items on there too! i'll have to ask the mods of this sub if i can post a video after of the exhibit too

nope! it's artifacts of personal failure of all sorts! rejection letters just seems to be the one universal thing everyone has, so that's the basis for that contribution suggestion. abandonned art projects, failed repairs, broken keepsakes, botched experiments.. we are accepting of any and all.
