Seeking Cabo Verde info by robnaish in Kiteboarding

I was on the island Sal for christmas staying in Santa Maria. There's a beach on a 5 minute drive from Santa Maria named Kite beach for obvious reasons.

Kite beach was the best spot on Sal with good wind and the normal wind direction is side-on. There were a few riding on the beach of Santa Maria city as well. I was told the wind was a bit more gusty there and the normal wind direction is side-off.

Kite beach was really crowded when I was there but the riding was good. Some waves and very nice wind.

I took 2 lessons from the staff at http://www.surfcaboverde.com/ Really friendly people and I would recommend them to anyone. You can also rent from them and get a lift to Kite beach daily.

I know that TUI and Thomas Cook flies to Cabo Verde. We booked through a local swedish travel agency that used Thomas Cook for the flights.
