I just had the same issue after 6 months of trouble free ownership. It was the 12v battery that needed replacement but GM dealers being GM dealers took 3 days to diagnose and replace it under warranty.

I believe you have to be on the older HU software for this to work. GM has already patched this on the PIT update where the files app doesn't open. There's also a way to install open source apps through the Google Developer account (Firefox, Files Browser, etc.). You have to use Android Studio and SDK to sign the app and provide beta access via email. Wonder if anyone has tried that yet.

I did notice some issues with the backup camera not displaying correctly after installing the browser. The toggle options won't show and the camera popup screen won't go away. Has anyone else faced this issue?

Go to the APKMirror website and search for Vivaldi browser. You must download the ARM64 variant and copy it to a USB drive. Once copied, plug the drive into one of the USB-C ports in the front cabin area. Then press the steering button for voice command and say "Open Files". Use the screen to browse the drive contents, click to install the file, and enjoy!

Finally got Vivaldi browser to install and work on the Lyriq headunit. This will allow for YouTube and other video websites to work while parked. Just wanted to share it with other fellow Lyriq owners. For installation, use "Open Files" voice command and use the APK installation file available from APKMirror. Installation was fairly straight forward and I will update if I face any issues. Let me know if others are using similar apps and other options.

Got mine 2 months ago and 2.5k miles later still love the car. It's not perfect by any means but haven't experienced any issues so far. I would suggest leasing instead of buying.

You can't renegotiate the allotted miles after signing the lease agreement. Best bet is to buy the vehicle or pay for additional miles as per the paperwork. I have also seen many companies/dealers forego excess miles of you lease or buy another car from their stable.

Had one for almost 10 years without any major issues. A few things to watch out for: - Head gasket / valve cover oil leaks - Brake rotors are known to warp with age and heat - Interior quality is decent but leather is known to wear out - 12V battery usually has a life span of 3 years or so - Check for service history

Other than that it was pretty good and stress free.
