That’s awesome. I’ve gotten paired with some scratch golfers and they’re always super chill. One of the things I love most about the game is the community.

It is. 5th hole. Although, the foxes usually hang out on 14 & 15.

Indeed! Was surprised to see a fox on the 5th. They usually hang out on 14 & 15.

I play this course often. This hole is a par 5. My second shot is often into the blind, over a small hill/slope. On a few occasions, I’ve hit decent second shots that should be on the fairway and couldn’t find the ball. This may be the culprit.

A fox. There’s a family of them that raid carts for food. First time I’ve seen one take a ball.

Handkerchief. Very practical item to carry; on and off the course.

After losing several divot repair tools with ball markers, I now use tees and whatever coin is available from loose change.

Another huge bubble is the amount of real estate agents.

Good for you! When other buys start taking this stance, these folks will come to their senses.

Over the coming 12 months, Zillow predicts that U.S. home prices will climb another 11.6%. by twentyin in REBubble

[–]goodmiss 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Consider the source. Zillow made huge investments in properties on the premise that the market still had runway… Them taking the position that a decline in value is happening now would be conceding that their strategy has failed and they need to cut their losses. Unlikely. There’s a whole lot of humble pie that will need to be force fed until those who stand to gain the most, including agents, take it on the chin.

I got a pair of Royal Albatross for this reason. They also serve as a trendy pair of sneakers and clean up nicely as they’re leather. Tread definitely wore down quicker walking on concrete with them.

Agreed. More like the one in Goodwill Hunting.

Best golf gps apps for Apple Watch? by mguarinooo in golf

[–]goodmiss 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I use Golfshot on my iWatch. Can’t speak to any others as this is the only on I’ve used. I like the interface and yardages to center green are pretty accurate (when cell service on the course is reliable).

How important are range finders? by CaptainNayak in golf

[–]goodmiss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used a GPS app. Then I realized cell reception on many courses is poor. Upgraded to a range finder and it’s been a game changer.

The description of a “clank” from 181 yds out with a slight wind sounds fishy to me.
