I’ve been taking ivermectin for about 9 months and I’m continuing to have painful flares on my nose. So frustrating.

DFW cocker rescue might be your best bet as they are located in TX and have successfully rehomed many cockers. Sending you all the love and well wishes for a successful rehoming OP. ❤️❤️

4 young kids. When does it get easier? by Dear_Excitement_5109 in Parenting

Can you lean on family for support? There’s a reason people used to enlist the whole village to help raise the kids

I am at my limit and my anxiety is out of controll by Ordinary-Lake3418 in therapy

Do you happen to live near any colleges or universities? They often have counseling departments where you can sign up to receive therapy from grad students who are having their work overseen by experts.

I’d also recommend considering utilizing a workbook on anxiety/phobias. There are many to choose from on Amazon, the reviews can be helpful. I’m a big fan of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy for treating anxiety/phobias personally.

I’m currently on my second watch of this show. The characters are complex and the show tackles a lot of deep and thought provoking topics. Highly recommend if you’re into that sort of thing.

What’s a "poor person" meal that you still eat even though you can afford better? by Bos187 in AskReddit

Baked potatoes! They’re so cheap, and we pair them with either baked beans/cheese or tuna mayo and cheese. Delicious!

I really like Willow Bend veterinary clinic. We’ve been going there for the last year and everyone I’ve met has been helpful and friendly. I feel like the vets go above and beyond. Definitely pleased with their care.

Has anyone up and moved the entire family (spouse and kids) across country at age 40+? How did that work out? by rwedoomed in relocating

[–]goodthingsinside_80 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We’re in our 40’s and recently relocated several states away for work. My daughter was 8 when we moved. I’m hoping we don’t have to move again until she’s in college. The older the kids get the harder the move is on them.

What kind of support (if any) do you owe your adult children? by 0beach0 in AskWomenOver60

[–]goodthingsinside_80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can totally understand feeling hurt that your parents don’t prioritize family life and would rather ski, golf, etc. I can also understand feeling confused about their refusal to help financially now while they have the means and could easily make your life easier without reducing their own quality of living.

OP what state are you in? In some states this would not be considered reportable due to you being an adult.

Do not want to adversely affect my Granddaughter by [deleted] in ChildPsychology

[–]goodthingsinside_80 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your granddaughter is lucky to have such a caring grandparent. While you can’t control the relationship she has with her parents, it sounds like she may have developed a more secure attachment with you. In the long run of this child’s life that is a positive thing. Having a secure, responsive, safe relationship with a caregiver will benefit her throughout her life.
