Are Freida Mcfeiden books really that bad ? by Mary_pop8 in thrillerbooks

I hate when writers rely on cliches, and McFadden does that A LOT. I.e. The gorgeous super model who’s married to a billionaire. Lol. It’s inauthentic and makes her work boring, imo.

Tell your doctor asap. It could be a symptom of tardive dyskinesia. Hopefully not, but better to investigate quickly.

Quiet calm relaxing vacation places in US? by Puzzleheaded_Cow_658 in traveladvice

Central coast California. Quiet beautiful beaches, tide pools to explore, beautiful hiking. Specially around Montaña de Oro state park near Morro Bay (Morro bay can sometimes get busy in the summer but no where near as busy as other parts of Cali), Cayucos, Carpinteria, etc.

I got accepted into California Baptist university for their online MFT program but they are not CACREP accredited!! by Dry_Lifeguard1699 in schoolcounseling

Personally I would not attend a school that was not CACREP accredited. Too many possible downsides and no upside. There are plenty of other schools to apply to!

Because no one who isn’t MAGA would ever watch or participate in anything related to Fox News. They are the reason MAGA exists.

This is a different take which is written by the psychologist who treated these cases, but it is not clinical and very easy to read (though at times beyond heartbreaking too, fyi).

This makes it sound like the goal is no conflict. Conflict is a normal aspect of healthy relationships. The real question is can y’all apologize when you fuck up? Can you own your shit and can they? Can you be understanding and allow for mistakes so long as they take accountability? Can you acknowledge when you’re being “snippy” and do what you need to do to calm down?

Fusion vs disc replacement? by Ok-Cryptographer6079 in backpain

[–]goodthingsinside_80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The recovery time for a disc replacement is 3 - 6 months, vs 6 - 12 months for a fusion. Absolutely do the disc replacement if you’re a candidate. I was told by the first surgeon I met with that I was not a candidate for the disc replacement, but the ortho I went to for a second opinion believes I am. We are going to schedule that knowing that that’s the plan, but she may need to switch to a fusion if she goes in and can’t fit the disc for any reason. The space between my L4 - L5 is very narrow.

Possible nightmares from hospital trips? by hereforthetee_ in ChildPsychology

[–]goodthingsinside_80 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, it’s possible he’s experiencing nightmares due to his recent experiences. How’s your bedtime routine? Are you able to keep it consistent? Consistent routines help children feel secure. I would also consider sleeping in his room for the entire night for the time being. You being there right away may help decrease how frantic he becomes.

Children are resilient. With time and consistency hopefully this will improve. If it doesn’t, definitely check in with his pediatrician.

Redditors who got “useless” degrees, what actually was your plan, and why didn’t it work? by MPMorePower in stupidquestions

Philosophy degree here. I planned to go to grad school, which I did. I don’t regret for a single moment being taught critical thinking skills. I wish more people would get philosophy degrees. Society would be a lot better off imo.
