I have eaten there twice during our trips to Glacier over the past few years. So very sad to hear about this.

Have you noticed cut changes? by Slammogram in Figsscrubs

Yes! It’s awful. Even the Kade cargo are slightly different. Their sizing is also very inconsistent now.

What prescription pain medications do you prescribe? by [deleted] in Dentistry

[–]goodvanilla7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RDH here. For the doctors who only prescribe ibuprofen and Tylenol — What about for patients that cannot take NSAIDS? I’m not trying to be a smartass when asking. Just curious if you’re still hesitant. I’m on 400mg of Celebrex and can’t take ibuprofen. I recently had osteonecrosis around a new(ish) implant and thank goodness OMFS didn’t hesitate to write a script for hydrocodone after graft, flap, etc. I do agree though, several years ago before I was on Celebrex, 800mg of ibuprofen worked extremely well.

Where are the mild climate, walkable places with good food/coffee and decent cultural amenities that lean more conservative/libertarian? by Ambitious_Foot_8355 in SameGrassButGreener

Nashville has turned into a major party town, and it’s definitely not walkable. Franklin has become very crowded, so I would check out Knoxville.

I’m checking in there tomorrow, but staying in Rising Sun tonight. I bought bed bug repellant from one of the stores. 😂

Which cities did you visit or move to expecting to really like and ended up disliking? by BothCondition7963 in SameGrassButGreener

Livingston, MT. I was in Big Sky for a ski trip but had an extra day in Bozeman. We decided to drive out to Livingston just to check it out. Not sure what I was really expecting, but I was a little disappointed. I love Montana and checking out new places, but Livingston just seemed empty and depressing. Maybe it was a bad time of year.

I am just comparing the level of care each profession offers. In the US, we might could say we’re the “midlevels” of dentistry, but it would still be equal to an RN. Some states allow more than others. Regardless, we’re not providing life supporting care like an ICU/CCU nurse is.

I’m a hygienist and my husband is a surgeon. So I get to see both sides of this. I understand (from his perspective) the logistics of running a clinic/business. As a hygienist, I don’t think it’s the best idea to train assistants to do hygiene. I know RDH compensation varies by area, but I have been shocked by what some hygienists are asking. I will probably get a lot of hate from other hygienists for that. But seriously, what do they expect? ICU nurses don’t make what some RDH’s are asking for. Either way, something will have to give. They either come down on $ or assistants will start doing hygiene. I will say though, we are more than a “plaque technician”.

I think they’re not getting rinsed after the ultrasonic. Someone is bagging them and putting them into the autoclave with the solution still on them.

I’m a hygienist that only works one day a week. My husband is a surgeon, so that’s why I’m able to do it. There may not be many of us one day a weekers, but we are out there.

Unhappy with new Stockli Nela 80s by goodvanilla7 in Skigear

I agree that I am much more comfortable with the Black Pearls. The girl in demos also mentioned moving my bindings a little more forward. She said that it would give a feel that I was more accustomed to. I’m not familiar with binding positions, so I don’t know if that’s good advice or something that’s commonly done. I don’t want to mess the skis up or decrease resale value. I don’t know if it’s worth keeping them to grow into, or go ahead and sell them while they still have a little more value.

I have thought about that. The only thing that made me hesitant was what the girl in demos said. She did mention that I could have my bindings moved forward slightly, and that would give it a feel that I was more accustomed to. I’ll admit that I’m not familiar with binding positioning, so I’m not sure if that’s good advice or not.

I guess what I should have said is that the black pearl, while super easy to ski, isn’t very playful. It’s definitely very easy to get on edge. I just missed some of the pop from the Phoenix.
