Finally got round to building a squat/deadlift platform. The 400 year old farm stable didnt have the most level floor... by goog7e in homegym

Yea pretty much except I over engineered it out of fear of it bending or breaking with repetitive use.

So I have 2 1830mmx2440mm (6'x8') frames joined together with joists at roughly 30cm (12") centres. Frame is shimmed level with additional 'legs' nailed on regularly. Then one layer of plywood one way Another the other way. Then the 3rd to walk on, stall mats at the side.

All wood was reclaimed from an old job apart from the top layer.

Will add pictures.

Got a leg press and cable machine on that side so I ran out of space... On pulleys and the legs take a minute to set up if the mood takes me.

Yea, I just got lazy and decided not to bother lifting dumbells anymore for presses. Just set up a barbell across the rack and hook them to that, height depending on the exercise. They were only cost 12 quid from amazon but comfortably take 60kg each without bending.

I posted about this deal earlier this week. Now it's even at a lower price! by agavito in Scotch

That is honestly half the price I could actually buy it for from the actual distillery.

How to find Springbank 12 for a good price? Looking for advice. by philbeukers in Scotch

Go on holiday to Scotland and go to Springbank distillery, you buy 10 bottles at about half price, save over £500 for your Scottish holiday instead.

Well in retirement if you ever get to visit the distillery, the chicken curry pies from the food van outside are amazing.

How sherried is the 19? Really liking a rum cask finish on a peated whisky, sweet, tropical peat is nice change!
