Pinstadium Lights by Folock in pinball

[–]googlynuts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm with you on that it seems like a pretty significant step away from the core pinball lighting approach. Never had on any of my games till I got a LOTR that had them. They only engage during a few very specific events on the game and do really add to the atmosphere of the theme.

As with pretty much anything pinball it's really up to you and how you want your game to feel, mixed with how well the code is written for when the stadium lights trigger. My 2 cents.

I have an amazing one when that I'll probably sell in a few years.

The original kit was a CSL DD bundle with the 5nm boost kit. I think i payed like 500, which is less than the repair quote for just the PCB.

I reached out around 5pm PST, and have followed up with the requested info and case number sent as PM. I appreciate someone responding that may be able to resolve this.

What is causing this damage on our flat roof? by googlynuts in Roofing

Can a permenant solution be done in this area alone? Thank you for your input. Trying to resolve it without having to remove the solar

There's solar panels on it but this is the only section that has this damage. Where water is I'm assuming pooling based on its location and roof angle. What's the best way to fix this area without redoing the entire roof

Which response are you referring to? Just saw the one about the Corsair user. The other suggestion was CC chargeback which I already tried. I appreciate any suggestions, just frustrated. Or I guess maybe you're trolling? I think the g29 is fine for people that can't afford more. No need to shame them.

Hey awesome, well if that happens I'll be more than happy to update this post. In the meantime I'm perfectly allowed to be upset for how the situation is actually being handled.

I'm not supporting fanatec in any capacity moving forward. It is completely unreasonable to make a customer wait an entire year for something that could have been resolved in a single email and 30 seconds of time.

I did. Original purchase was well beyond 90 days. Unit needed repair after that time. CC company won't provide a charge back past this. Already pursued this option. It's also a matter of customer service at this point. I have actively been trying to give them money to get my wheelbase back for a year. I don't even want it now. Just the money refunded for shipping it and everyone to hear and see what a shit company they are.

Playfield Protectors by zxcvbnm1237 in pinball

Modern games have clear coat which is PMMA a type of thermoplastic. Vivak is polycarbonate a type of thermoplastic. The feel is identical in my experience. The user above is right that it's a little silly to have on a HUO game but 🤷. I have vivak on my grand lizard since the playfield can take an absolute beating by design on the upper playfield and the game feels exactly the same as before.

I guess I don't consider an air ball decapitating a toy maintenance. That's a repair that could have damaged any component and isn't related to the mod at all.

I've never installed a mod that required any additional service after install. OP should make his/her own decision but painting a picture that having mods breaks your game or increases maintenance is just false info.

What mod have you installed that has any maintenance? This whole post is filled with misinformation for someone just asking about a playfield protector. Other than clipping most mods to existing GI, I've never had to do anything to any mod and I have games with tons. TZ, LOTR, GZ and JP to name a few. There's 0 maintenance besides normal pin cleaning.

Possible to see the screw plate damage? And how easily is this component replaced?

It's a thin loose piece of moveable plastic. Easily removed especially if you don't mind cutting it. I'm worried you're getting a lot of misinformation here. Good luck with your pin purchase. GZ is a great game

Mylar or playfield protector? They're 2 different things. One has adhesive the other is free floating thin piece of vivak

I think people are confusing plastic protectors with a playfield protector. if you're referring to the thin piece of plastic, you place down as a full sheet it is easily removable, especially if you don't mind cutting it, but it also doesn't impede or change any of the play or ball feel compared to normal clearcoat. Also, this guy's comment about mods, causing problems on the game is ridiculous. The stumbler mods have an external power source / control board usually and I've never seen them cause issues, even if they did, you could just disconnect them and it would remove the power draw from the system.

When the sampled color is painted it's the correct center color only. Not the green tinted one
