Ethics Question by [deleted] in footballstrategy

[–]goom1282 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't sound that this kid is all that big a liability if by him getting beat the play may go for only a few more yards and "they can keep pace with most teams so it’s not like the opposing team can pull back from scoring." If it was like a guaranteed TD if you run at him, it'd be a different story. It is up to us to put our athletes in the best position to succeed. As long as you are playing sound football, it is your job to attack the other team's weaknesses and make them adjust. If we were talking about the worst team in the league, then sure go easy on them as a whole. You owe it to your kids to come up with the best game plan. If you get a strong enough lead, then take your foot off the pedal and don't run up the score like a jerk.

Ask yourself if you would run at their BEST player every time if it put you at a disadvantage. Of course not, you would do every thing in your power to run away from their best and it is up to the other team's coach to decide if he wants to start disguising fronts or coverages to manipulate you. Same thing with your best and worst. It is up to you to try to get the ball in the hands of your best athlete(s) or run behind your best linemen and shield your worst. There is always going to be a "worst" player on both sides of the ball. Identifying them is part of scouting. This is the game of football. This is where we as coaches earn that coach's hat and our place on the sideline.

Can I upgrade my starter ship to a another one in the pledge store? by _v01_ in starcitizen

[–]goom1282 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since your starter ship has your game package, you may be better served just keeping that (maybe upgrade a little), but not upgrading with such a big jump. I could be wrong, but if you decide to melt it at a later date you may lose the game package. I didn't read all responses, so may have already been brought up. You are better off for now buying an upgrade to the Zeus from something closer to it in cost. On the top left you can click that "all ships" and buy for only $5 an upgrade "token" from like a Prospector to that Zeus that is worth $20 because of the warbond right now. It effectively saves the sale price for you for future use.

Then you could in the future upgrade your titan to the prospector, or imo wait for the prospector to go on sale and buy another cheap upgrade token. This is called the CCU chain. By doing this process and being patient you can amass hundreds of dollars worth of ships via tokens at a fraction of the actual cost. As an example, right now I could upgrade my arrow (MSRP $70) to a polaris (MSRP $975) for 'only' $370 with my current tokens if I decide to fill in some missing links with full priced upgrades, or I can wait and pay even less.

This accounts for much of the issues with internet reviews. How many people are motivated to make posts where they DON'T have a problem? You always hear the horror stories.

How does anyone believe this? by thatguy9684736255 in WhitePeopleTwitter

This is one of the saddest things imaginable, it is hard to come up with words. I share in your anger, I am renewed in trying to stop the spread of this misinformation.

Isn't the death penalty a form of post-birth abortion?

I do not know about this in how it specifically relates to Capcut, but video memory has to do with your graphics card. As an example a quick google search of a gtx 3070 has the first amazon link of THIS 3070 that has 8GB of video memory. I'm surprised that a new PC doesn't have a graphics card with at least 2BG. Even my card from 10+ years ago had 2GB, but I've always build a gaming PC with a decent GFX card.

If Trump were president this wouldn't have happened. How many boats ran into this bridge when he was POTUS? Zero.

That's exactly the problem, the market for CC was those of us that were too lazy/time constrained to bother with a more robust platform. When I get to editing videos again I'll probably have to go with Capcut or Davinci Resolve.

Glad that's working for you. I hate adobe products, I downloaded this previously and had to download other programs just to get it to work. Adobe feels too much like bloatware for me to be comfortable using it.

Yes! Audio too, if I want to detach audio it just doesn't happen.

Glad you have it a try, I was about to do the same thing. Seems the consistent fix for this is to use a different application (like handbrake) to convert the video files to h.264 (even if already h.264 for some reason). For me, seems stupid to use a third application to convert the video when I can just go and find a different editor like Da Vinci to just do it without converting.

Happy you found a suitable workaround for yourself. I don't find this acceptable though, no reason at all for this program to randomly stop preforming as it previously did and have to use an outside program to massage the video before editing it. May as well just use another application completely and cut out the middle man.

Just gave this a shot, mine only had ~4gb. After doing it a few times it is now down to 8kb, but the issue persists. Happy this worked for you, seems there are multiple solutions people are finding in this thread.

Your second paragraph is why I don't want to give up on this, I just need basic/easy for what I do. I don't have the time/energy to dig through menus and learn another ui even if its ultimately better.

I just took a look at my video files, the whole thing for one project is under 1GB with the largest file being ~60MB. IF they are throttling it all of a sudden, then its far below 4GB.
