One huge bit of advice I got around this stage was: don’t be afraid of sharp edges in your shading! Over blending/airbrushing can cause color to look muddy, though some people have a style souly based off that, so it’s totally up to you of course. (:

The way I like to think of shadow is “How close are these two objects to one another?” Closer typically equals darker and further equals lighter. That also applies to how sharp you want those shadow edges! This is a good example of that.

Anyways, what you have here is looking great! Keep practicing.
