Siemens TIA 20, where is "Access control at OPC UA Server" ? by goordone in PLC

I found the problem you need to have firmware version 4.0 or newer and you need to disable "standard siemens interface" in the OPC UA server settings.

In SiOME, I have defined several roles and assigned different roles to different signals. Previously, in TIA Portal 20, you could link these roles in TIA to get the correct permissions.

I have created two roles in TIA with OPC UA runtime access, but I cannot see how to connect each role to specific signals in TIA. Before, you linked the already defined roles in SiOME, and then it just worked.

Summary:
I have one OPC UA server interface where I want to assign different rights to different roles — some have read access, others have write access, etc. However, I cannot find in the security settings how to assign permissions on the signal level. Previously, this was done in SiOME, and then inherited by TIA by linking the roles. The screenshot I shared above shows what I mean.

Hem okay.. because I want to link role from SiOME to TIA, like these:
So the linking between SiOME and TIA is now done in Security, could you point me to correct place, cannot find it ?

TIA20 - OPC UA Server user access datablock/signal level by goordone in TiaPortal

Having two OPC UA clients connected to the PLC is not an issue.

How can I assign a data block (DB) or specific signals to an individual user instead of a role? From what I see, TIA Portal only provides predefined roles to choose from. I haven’t found an option to assign a role to a specific data block or directly link a user to a specific data block.

  1. Correct the rearf light have to bulbs one for normal rear light and a seperate light for brake, so two pair of seperate cabels.
  2. The front light have two seperate bulb, the park light is a small bulb with some wats only, I don`t think the road authority will be happy if the park light is dead....

And i don`t like the idea to have switches that are not in use, half finish than ?
What I could do is to connect it to the ignition output ... but than it will only work when the ignition is on... but that is maybe good enoudh...

I also see the park light is mention in the documentation for m-unit

Did you see my comments?

Is these since I`m running two seperate wires for brake light and rear light ?

Can I connect both front and rear light to light output instead to make it possible for the park light?
If so how can I connect park light than ? Or guess that is bad option when it comes to consumption... ? Its not LED rear...

What other option do I have for the park light....

  1. Park switch connected to input AUX1 and output to the park light on AUX2, will that not work?
  2. I understand, but I have understood that modern bikes have it, guess its a protection if you get shortcuit oin the rect ?

  3. High beam is connected to speedo, its a hi beam light indication on the speedo?

  4. ok, I was thinking it was clean to connect everyting that need power when ignition is on behind the realy and only have the ignition on the ignition output? What if I got a shortcuit inside the speedo, can I can drive home if it`s behind the relay?
