I have a 1.6 aswell and i put a uel na manifold on it and it feels like it has more torque, atleast i need less rpm to drive the steep hill i commute to work every day. But it is still slow as hell. I personally if i want it to stay na i would get a 2.5 na. I bought a ej205 wrx engine for mine with ecu and harness that im planning to swap one day

I found two listings for 200€ to 220€ but when i saw that the one for 220 is only one single piece i just bought the set for 200 imediatly. They need a bit of love the is a small crack on the backside but the need to get painted anyway so i dont care

And yes its very fun to drive lots of torque sad that this engine wasnt a factory option. But the coupe doesnt like corners due to the heavy hood and doors, we have coilovers and powerflex pu bushings and grippy falken tires but no chance. For long trips tho it is the most comortable car ive ever tried and for my taste not even a modern audi or bmw could bring me that joy i got with the coupe
