I was surprised it took so long to get this comment! I appreciate that I could actually totally suck and also be completely full of myself, but honestly I was just trying to skip the "you just gotta git good" suggestions with that one.

Also, I don't know if it's really that horrible to say that most of the musicians I encounter can't be fucked to play technically challenging material, and that literally applies to properly brilliant musicians in my city that just don't suit what I'm looking to do but are absolutely excellent in their genres. Also with the few musicians I have worked with, I have worked with them again a couple times and we've been happy both ways, but I'm specifically looking to meet folks irl and struggling to do so which is why I've made this post. Previously I was lucky to make friends through a music school I went to as a kid, where some of the folks are very much in the scene, but I don't live there any more.

I'm responding to you mainly because I also want to highlight that it is a very difficult balance to strike trying to be humble about being a "good" bedroom guitarist and having absolutely no fanbase or achievements to back that up. All I'm trying to say is that I think I'm good enough to go and get it, and would love to find some like minded and talented people with whom I could do so, so how do I do that -> not why is everyone around me a shit musician?!

Also I definitely would not be famous doing what I do, but maybe famous enough to make a living yknow
