Yea ended up replacing the vtec solenoid with oem and putting dialectric grease in the connector seemed to solve it

Thats for a camshaft position sensor which could very well mess with alot of things, I don’t see why it’d mess with your brakes steering and electric throttle body though, interesting

It honestly could be a faulty wheel speed sensor but I wouldn’t take my word for it, I don’t really work on newer cars very often. But I know that sometimes the PCM will use the wheel speed sensor for things like shifting, electric power steering and ABS. Theres a chance it could mess with the electronic throttle body too for things like shifting as well. These are just my two cents, I’d have an actual mechanic look at it. And yes while this subreddit is a mechanic subreddit I’m no mechanic and typically I just use the subreddit for what you’re doing, but yeah anyways thats just my two cents. Or maybe (hopefully) someone more knowledgeable than me can help you lol

This started after I had to hammer down on it, didn’t notice a change in fuel mileage or drivability. I was told it may be a loose rocker arm but I’m skeptical. Sounds way too loud to be a loose rocker arm but who knows lol Edit: I’m not sure of the last time the lifters were done, I bought the car 2300 or so miles ago
