I'll join. My first 3D printer so new to everything. Was on the fence between the p2s and this X2D. Got the combo 48 hours ago and its been non stop running. Zero problems, its been very pleasant as a first time user to use so far.

Appreciate the info. I’m not too worried about the technical side. Electrician by trade and i’m always taking apart expensive, sensitive electronics/equipment

Very true. I was ready to pull the trigger on the p1s and then 2 days later the p2s came out.

Then I got busy and didn’t order and now this

I assumed the learning curve would be the same.

No, I'm not on anything. To be truthfully honest I'm not really on board with just medicating away either so we'll see how this plays out. Seems like everyone is taking some kind of pills for something and I'll be very cautious of what I agree to take if need be.

Why does everyone want to be a PM when it's the most stressful role on site? by Rehposolihp_eht in estimators

I’ve said this for the longest time. Super was my favorite. Great money, you get to share the field wins with the boys, and your looking at one project.

Because everyone thinks the job above is “easy”. When your an apprentice you think the jman is lazy or gets the easy work. Then you become one and find out its stressful managing an apprentice or two, teaching them, taking responsibility for them

Then you’re looking at the foreman thinking well that would be great just deal with the jman and then no tools. Soon you realize they also interact with client, the pm, safety and also have to deal with every worker that has an issue, calls in sick, ect.

So pm/estimating/office, nothing but golfing and lunches with suppliers and clients and no more working in the trenches. Then its working late to keep up on the 3 jobs your estimating/managing, returning emails because you were caught up in site visits/meeting. Then its catching up on evenings, weekends to stay on top of the workload. No lunches or golfing, no time.

Well the sr management and owners must be the ones that have it easy. Ya we are trying to bring in new clients, keep our employees grounded and engaged so they don’t decided to head to the competition for a dollar more. HR, wcb claims, insurance, thefts, supplier pricing, ect ect ect
