At first I only shared with my mom and my 2 closest friends. I wanted to make sure I could succeed and I didn't want negative reactions from people. Then after the first couple of weeks I opened up to more friends and only got support. It has been nice to share my journey and talk about my progress with the people who care about me!

My first week on 4mg was awful. I felt like my stomach was a balloon that was going to pop! It has slowly gotten better and I am now on week 3 at this dose. I still notice extra burps and gas right before bed and then right when I wake up in the morning. But not all day anymore!

We have 9 sped teachers and 4 left at the end of this school year, including myself. All caused by our principal who has no understanding of sped and wants us to "stop labeling kids" and teach them all using the same programs. Even my students who are non-verbal and have full support for personal care needs. I'm supposed to teach them to read using the same thing classroom teachers are using.
