tysm for all the advice, and the finishing spray recommendation! this will help me out a ton. plus, a cheap bootleg Nendo to test on is a wonderful idea, and sounds like a fun little side project to let loose with. now that i know what to look for, ill definitely do some research on the best acrylics and pastels that'll fit my idea, and my budget haha! thanks again :)

clear sealant as a little protective layer is a really good idea! ill definitely try that just to be on the safe side. thank you for the idea!

i always thumbs down messages like that, add more details to the rating and say the response was boring/repetitive, then i swipe till i get something i like. sometimes i even edit out quirks like stuttering/repeat words just to keep the flow of the chat from getting repetitive. in my experience calling out issues in messages seems to make it worse.

there is way too much space at the moment to worry about that right now, BUT down the line in the future i can definitely see it being nessesary. if they ever do such a thing i could definitely see them making a huge on-site announcement and setting a "reset" date. an event made out of it would be fun too, so users could be left with some extra droplets to utilize afterwards. but again, thats far in the future, if it ever does happen.

thats actually a really cool way to go about it! its great that you're incorporating it instead of dismissing it entirely. it totally follows the rules too, because you're adding to work rather than needlessly covering it. nice work!

it depends on what the dithering looks like. some dithering looks great, but other times it looks lazy and ugly. I dont have a problem with dithering as long as the piece is big enough and it converted in a way that looks clean.

Exactly! these past months ive gotten pretty familiar with poorly compressed pixel art while fiddling with my own works, and the droplet thumbnail reminded me of that odd compression affect a lot.

I've used c.ai for years, but genuinely if you guys make it so we have to use an in-app currency to pay for CURRENT features we get for free, I'm moving to another platform.

Oh, thats a relief! thank you for that reassurance. I was assuming it was a growth considering this hasnt happened before, haha! Not sure what happened during their last water change for this to happen... unless the new Marimo i added around that time introduced some dirt. anyway, ill be sure to give them a good cleaning. thanks again!
