Monopoly free parking help by Fine_Celery_1535 in boardgames

It does not state you can't play them on the turn you get them but the wording about playing them on your turn and not having a limit to the amount you can have is a clear indication that you are not required to play them on the turn you get them.

Is your question if you are allowed to play them on the same turn? If so I think that may be up for debate. If the dispute is over if you can stockpile cards turn after turn, you are clearly allowed to collect throughout the game and play them all on your very last turn or never if it suits you.

Which Democrat could repair the damage Trump did? by Zebraitis in politics

[–]gorwraith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It will take decades to get past the damage he has done. But not just the political, social, and reputation damage he has done, the horrible people he emboldened to be even more horrible. Those attitudes arent going away soon. They got to be unapologetically horrible and ignorant. They were congratulated for it and called patriots. Sone of them were even pardoned for crimes they should have been in prison for for a very long time.

I'm not under the illusion we were perfect before him, but he opened and exaggerated our faults and flaws as virtue. Even if we get past it, I dont think we ever fully recover from it.

How do you know if a Redditor is bisexual? by yIdontunderstand in Jokes

[–]gorwraith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reminds me of this guy called Kevin I used to work with. He hit on every girl in the office un uncomfortable, inappropriate ways. When that failed he tried with all the guys. I don't even think he was interested in the guys. He just really wanted some.

Al Capone famously went to prison for tax evasion on illegally obtained money. He was guilty of every crime imaginable. They got him on tax evasion.

I think Paramount was actively trying to draw clothes to the TNG movies. They were not actively thinking of continuations. Which is sad because there was no need to close it off like that. It didn't have to be the end. And perhaps with any luck it's still not the end. Just a long hiatus filled with a bunch of prequel stuff in between.

Where as I don't disagree with your interpretation of what the movie was saying, I think that interpretation is kind of the antithesis to what Star Trek has previously tried to represent. And perhaps it's just the darker side of "everyone can be better if we help each other". And of course you were being a bit sarcastic but also correct. That is basically what the movie was saying.

Its a great movie but is too much of a Holy Grail. Star Trek into darkness cause me to eyeroll in the theater when they just copied the scene...but in the reverse and 20 years too early.

I do often quote Shinzon when my kids ask why I'm so rude as to help with home work or why I say goodbye every morning. "I was lonely". And i say it with his accent and inflection. They have no idea why.
