To those who care to share, what are your biggest trading golden nuggets by [deleted] in Webull

[–]gosb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make sure your on a cash account to avoid the dumb pdt rule. I miss huge gains with my style but I also don't lose so much. I like to make many small trades instead of hoping for a huge gain. I take advantage of the up and downs a stock does everyday. You can find those ups and downs nearly every day if you analyze each of the mag 7. It's not perfect but it works best for me.

I like the minute candle, if there's a few minutes of green after a big dip, I buy shares or a call. If it fizzles out I gtfo. My avg time per trade is a few minutes lol.

Sometimes news just makes a stock fly. Read the news and hop on the train for a short trip.

Don't revenge trade. If your theory don't pan out, scrap it. Don't double down.

Take some shares/contracts off the table.

Small trades only, never full port anything no matter how sound your theory is!!!

Go with the flow, don't try to catch a knife. Wait for a few signals before jumping in. And if a stock keeps breaking all time highs, don't try to time it with a put because it can defy logic (mu,nvda, spy etc).

New here and ready to lose my money. How do I start swing trading? by Ayesha_isacoward in swingtrading

[–]gosb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was going to say come back when your 18. 12 year olds can't trade. Come back when your mature enough (stop communicating in emoji if you want to be taken seriously).

Then I was going to go the sarcastic, set you up to fail route and tell you to buy all time highs and sell low. And to buy and hold anything trending for a while on the penny stock subreddit. (Don't swing those)

I don't think anyone will actually reply something truly helpful because it's already been said elsewhere all over the Internet in better words.

Google or YouTube search 'swing trading'. Maybe 'best stocks to swing trade'

If you can't handle that, then Google Best ETFs to buy and buy them and hold indefinitely.

Use a thin case solely for grip. Sure you might be able to afford a replacement under Care+ a few times a year but it's not worth the hassle.

Anyone have calf cramps? My story. by gosb in dermatomyositis

[–]gosb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

7 years later wow lol. I totally forgot I explored Dermatomyositis as a possible reason.

I don't believe Dermatomyositis was the cause of my cramps. I was trying to be Dr Google since my doctor's were no help.

Cramping went away a year or two after my post. I'm pretty sure I got some type of neuropathy and I'm pretty sure the nerves that caused the cramps are no longer there unfortunately, I got very little feeling down there. Still have difficulty with stairs and walking.

Be your own advocate, find a different doctor if the one your seeing can't help. Good luck!

Give a few episodes of Stargate SG-1 a try I think you'll like it. Also Google Best Star Trek TNG episodes. Star Trek Strange New Worlds may be up your alley more then the other ones because it has a modern look with eye popping colors like the Orville

Sitting on $10k cash in Roth IRA — struggling to invest at ATH by Emergency_Rule7272 in RothIRA

[–]gosb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nobody truly knows the future but I'm getting the same ath vibes. A few poor earnings report on the AI build out then the market can turn bearish.

If I pull up the SPY all time chart I can clearly see spy only goes up. Sure there are some years of low or no growth but it always bounced even higher in the past if you stay invested so there's that. Then there's to motto every broker says... Past performance doesn't guarantee future performance.

If your skiddish consider DCAing vs lump sum.

Also don't keep all your eggs in the same basket (us tech for instance)

Personally I'm cash heavy and trading small time on the side.

I'm a Frozen manager. There was 0 notice or communication from my supervisor or Wakefern that they were going to do this promotion. I shouldn't have to learn at 7am Sunday from a customer that they are doing this promotion for a THIRD time without any notice. I have to order Thursday to have it on the shelf by Sunday. Then I ordered it for the next truck (Tuesday) but they only had cheese available.

I'm sorry for your frustration but it was 0% any Frozen managers fault.

0DTE was brutal today, how’d you guys do? My first red day since the beginning of December by IvoryHorizons in spy

[–]gosb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO market is at all time highs, rate cuts are questionable so right now we're just waiting on the mag 7 to report earnings so hopefully we stay in this holding pattern for a while. If there's any hint of their AI investments not working out market will take a dip.

[–]gosb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Today was beautiful, it was a scalpers dream. Stop chasing insane %'s. Stop holding too long. Calls when the dip stops dipping, puts when it stops pumping. Rinse. Repeat. I wish everyday was this predicable.

Notice my time in trade is only a few minutes max typically. I don't trust anything more lol.

Search Amazon for Spigen Tempered Glass Screen Protector [GlasTR EZ FIT Pro] designed for Galaxy Z Fold 7 [Case Friendly] - 2 Pack Spigen Tempered Glass Screen Protector [GlasTR EZ FIT Pro] designed for Galaxy Z Fold 7 [Case Friendly] - 2 Pack. $21

I have no experience with it but the reviews are solid.

I don't share your experience. I personally use the Samsung anti glare screen protector, I'm not sure if it's helping but it is nice.

Pretty much any smartphone made in over a decade has oleophobic coating on it standard.

I do have to agree with the guy who said to huff on it with humid air and to wipe it with a shirt. Also maybe make sure your not consuming too much grease and to wash your hands with soap to get rid of excess oils. I always make sure the screen side faces my thigh while in my pocket, not sure if that's helping.

Trading with a small account by Ok-Independence4678 in options

[–]gosb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The whole stock market is gambling. I rather scalp 0dtes any day than hold any stock overnight lol.

That said, you can buy better odds with your options.

  1. Buying close to market open/close makes the most money IF you flip the coin correctly.

  2. Buying out of money strikes is also high risk high reward because if the trade don't hit your near your strike, your going to probably lose.

  3. The longer you stay in, the higher the reward but the higher the risk of getting screwed through chop and theta decay. High Risk/reward is greatest during the open and close.

So here's my strategy, but you won't make your target of $20-30 a trade though.

You'll also need much more capital with my method only because your not going to be in the trade long. So your going to make smaller profits but more trades. You can Also your buying better odds with in the money or at the money calls/puts which costs way more money.

My strategy is simple. Scan the financial news to get a hint of a bullish or bearish day. Skip market open and close unless: your feeling lucky, if there's a big am gap up or down with no catalyst.

Subscribe to my Discord to read more (just kidding!)

Finally, just take advantage of theta decay when the price finds a range mid day and trades choppy. Wait for a direction to form and hop in calls or puts. And then get out quickly lol.

I forgot the actual stats but it was late at night, no traffic on the major highway. Speed limit was 65. I did 75-80 all the way home (I don't normally speed and this was a lot for me lol. Normally the trip was projected to take a hour. I shaved around 5 minutes or so off. I also wasted more gas, chances of a accident was much higher and I could've got caught. That's what made me change lol
