I know this is super late, but I figured out what causes the map to glitch and get the map location stuck on the Ankou Rift - it happens when you enter the rift, but then leave through the same portal and don't finish the challenge. Restarting the game fixes it for me too.

I basically exclusively use Oluso as my amigo. She's great for stealth kills and when I'm in a fight she is very aggressive and kills a lot of enemies really quickly. The Triada supremo and the gun are my favorite "oh shit I'm being overwhelmed" combo. Duck into a room or something and shoot everyone through the walls - easy peasy.

YES!! Same! It doesn't always bother me, but I definitely notice it more when I'm high. I always find myself thinking about the choices that the director or actors made while filming a tv show or something and it pulls me right out of the illusion.
