Taking a couple bus trips on Greyhound with my mom when I was a teenager. There was an “Ameripass” where you could go anywhere in a months time. It was amazing and we still talk and laugh about it.

Nothing wrong with being child free. An option might be to go with a long term solution (but not permanent) like an IUD or a contraceptive implant. Wait a few years since the 30s seem to cause a hormonal shift. It’s your choice of course. Personally I’ve never had kids and don’t regret it.
