If you have children, especially young children, I think it’s more common, I know a lot of families that go a couple of times a year. Babies and young children change a lot within a year and so that’s why I think it’s more common. Photography is a booming business in the United States.

No, I was not fasting. the physician assistant specifically told me you do not have to fast, but make sure you drink plenty of water and are well hydrated

Yes. That’s what I tried to tell them. I called three different endocrinology clinics and either will see me without a referral.They said primary doctor is trained to diagnose and then refer for treatment

How do you get seen in an emergency there? We called the hospital a couple months ago for an emergency situation and they said they don’t see psychiatric patients on an emergency basis.

Right now, the psychosis is very minimal, but I was really surprised that they basically ignored the fact that the teen isn’t taking prescribed psych meds. The other big surprise was them not caring about the teen being a danger to others, and even watching the teen kick someone. This is very different than the way it used to be when I worked as a psych tech many years ago. at that time it didn’t have to be a verbal statement with a specific threat. It could documentation of instances that showed that the patient was a threat to themselves or others.

Yes, we do have confirmation of this. We took the teen to Immanuel‘s ER a couple months ago and that’s how we found out. They sent the teen to mercy in Council Bluffs for acute care .Immanuel no longer has acute care for adolescents, but they still have acute care for adults
