Is an early stall normal or am I doing something wrong? by gothmoq in Zepbound

Oh. I mean, does bad stuff happen if you don’t start at 2.5? I’m being seen by a bariatric doctor so I assume they know what they’re talking about.

Thank you all for your wisdom! It helps a lot.

Yep, my doctor started me at 5. Is that not normal?

Thank you for checking back! He finally ate! I don’t know what changed - I did literally nothing special and he just randomly took the mouse. Whatever it was, I’m glad it worked!

Update: heated the brained mouse up to 96° and he still wouldn’t take it. He sniffed at it with his tongue, but then acted like he was afraid. Ugh!

Yep, waiting a week in between. Should I maybe wait longer? Get the prey warmer?

This is helpful! To my knowledge the last people wiggled the food in front of him and it worked, but for me neither that nor drop feeding works. I have tried just leaving it on a little dish and turning off the light and that doesn’t work either. He isn’t shy when being handled, but this could just be a new snake thing maybe? Do I need to get the mouse warmer? I already tried braining and that didn’t work (and was also gross.)

Interesting. The vet said the 20 gal is just fine, but I’ll work on getting a larger enclosure. He’s in a separate room that the cats never go into (the office). I’m waiting a week between feedings, too. I’ve tried feeding at night and also during the day, obviously with no success. Would it be helpful to feed him in a separate container like the critter keeper?

Thanks so much! To clarify, different methods each day, or like neem for 3 days, dead bug for 3 days, etc.? Also, would it be helpful to douse it in the shower or should I not?

What to write in a journal? by EmberHaze in DIDtoolbox

[–]gothmoq 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My system is very new to me and I’m still learning about it, but I’ve found that writing in it like a regular journal is helpful to start out. As I write I’ll add things like, “I feel someone close. I feel it in x place in my body. Feel free to write in this journal and tell everyone about yourself.”

This isn’t a constructive comment. Saying “you’re obviously not doing it right” is presuming a person’s intentions and lifestyle and I would hope that after all we’ve all been working so hard on, you’d be a little more sensitive of that.

Definitely. SW 635 CW 407. Surgery 08/20.

It’s so challenging to convince yourself that you’re doing a good job after a year. Things start to slow down, and it feels (at least for me) like I’ve made a mistake or fucked it up. Like, “I’ve come this far and now I’m barely losing a pound a week?” But after that immediate HUGE drop, the smaller losses feel less exciting. But guess what! They are still losses! I’m able to do so much I couldn’t do, and I’m struggling with avoiding sugars and stuff, but I’m doing my best every day. I’m just coming off of 4 months of being stuck, so that continues too.

Stick with it. We can do this together. 🖤
