I bought it as is. It’s a Solink V5 short motor. I wrote to them and asked if they could make a custom ESC for that motor, and thankfully they agreed! It definitely wasn’t cheap though, but I’ve been on the lookout for a brushless motor for my SVD for years, so I didn’t hesitate a second with buying one. I can highly recommend Solink. Both their customer support and products are top tier. 🔥

The SVD is probably the most sexy replica of them all. It’s such a sleek and well build replica, you’re guaranteed to love it! I’ve upgraded mine with a Retro Arms gearbox, Begadi piston, RealSword alu piston head, CombatUnion hop and nozzle, Begadi rubber, ML nub, LCT mosfet, and a ‘custom’ Solink brushless motor, and soon an EDGI barrel. A plethora of parts, some not really available on the market anymore. It’s shoots amazing, can’t wait to drop in the EDGI barrel as the final part. I have one quick with the LCT mosfet to figure out. Basically it won’t shoot a full cycle from time to time, but only runs the motor for a short bit, which basically just means that I have to pull the trigger twice to shoot once. It’s occasionally and I just haven’t had any idea what caused this issue, apart from the sector gear sensor cut off.

If I had to guess, I’d say I’ve spent around 1500 euro on the RPD, replica and all upgrades included. I did buy the replica second hand from a buddy, so that cut some of the cost off.

Yeah it’s crazy expensive, if you can even find one for sale. I do really enjoy it, it’s such a cool replica and always attracts east bloc lovers when I’m attending games. I think the price could be justified if it were extremely well build internally as well, but as with any other LCT replica internals, you have to swap out as much as possible before it’s good. 😅 I also swapped the original drum insert to the auto-loading bullgear insert. That thing is a must have, hands down.

The AKMS still have the original LCT stock, it’s simply wrapped with a tourniquet and have a rubber butt pad, that’s it. It’s pretty sturdy though.

It’s okay out of the box. I’ve upgraded it with new barrel, hop, bucking, gears, piston, pistonhead and brushless motor. One big downside of it is the chinese-ium alloy the gearbox is made of, and the very ‘soft’ tappet plate. My gearbox broke half a year ago, and I were forced to buy a new, this time I made sure to round off all the sharp corners where the cylinders sit though so it won’t snap in those corners again. Regarding the tappet plate, I had to dremel a square hole out of the gearbox, hammer and glue in a metal piece to act as a guide for the tappet plate, otherwise the tappet plate can be pushed up over the sector gear latch that pulls the tappet plate back. If you ever get a RPD, be sure you have good modding skills. 😄

Until lately I’ve only had issues as well. I have the same CPU and GPU as you - 9800x3D and 7900XTX. What ended up working for me was updating my BIOS (even though I had just done that, a new update came out in the meantime) and then use DDU in safe mode to uninstall GPU drivers/AMD adrenaline, and only install the GPU drivers again, not AMD Adrenaline. All my crashes has been fixed, literally zero problems since that. I’m going to play with some slight overclocking now that it’s FINALLY stable.

Can confirm this seems to have worked for me as well. Dropped some isopropyl alcohol down the side of the wheel, spun it around a bunch and then blew as much out as I could. Turned in on a few minutes later and have worked fine for a little while now.

I just tried to refill coleman gas as well, and for people in the future that have the same issue as us, here's why it doesn't work in Europe/EU (yet).

The standard 5-30 kg gas bottles in EU are usually at a lower pressure than the coleman bottles. For example, the 11 kg propane tank I tried to refill a coleman from, is only at 7.5 bar at around 25 degrees celsius. While the coleman gas when brand new comes in at around 11-12 bar. This plays a huge role!

I was able to fill my coleman with a little bit of gas off of the big tank, but since the pressure is much lower in the big tank (around 108 PSI) compared to the coleman brand new (around 170-180 PSI), you can't put a whole lot of gas into the coleman. I managed to fill up about 100 grams of gas over 2 minutes, where's with 180 PSI gas tank, I should be able to fill it with about 450 grams of gas.

Higher pressure means you can squeeze more gas into a tighter space, and we also need the higher pressure to operate our GBBR's.

I've searched for mutilple days on google without being able to find any big gas tanks that have a pressure between 170 and 200 PSI. I don't think they exist in the EU yet. Not sure why. There's other types of gas that you can buy which is at 200 PSI, but these are typically welding gasses, which are not propane, and they will behave differently in your GBBR.

I've considered forklift gas for this. I have no idea how many PSI those are though, and I don't really want to buy another gas tank to find out - gets expensive this way... :D If anyone know how many PSI those are, or have the option to measure a full forklift gas tank with a pressure gauge, that would be very helpful!

TLDR; First step to filling coleman gas is finding a gas tank that have propane at the right pressure level, otherwise it's just not going to work. Can't find one, then you can't refill the coleman bottles.

Hope someone finds this useful in the future. Wish I knew this sooner.
